Dr. Akers is very thorough, talks to his patients, has excellent bedside manners and shows the utmost interest in his work. A very good doctor who has his patients' interest at heart.

Actually takes the time and LISTENS to the patient, without making anyone feel rushed. I've known Dr. Akers since we both were teenagers and he is one of the finest (personality-wise and in knowledge) urologists that I have been a patient with. Some of the physician's that specialize in urology have a stoic manner in which they present themselves to the patient, but Dr. Akers takes a more personable approach to making a patient feel at ease.
