Medical Assistant, Moncks Corner office is rude
I find Dr. Baker to very knowledgeable and his nurse practitioner to be almost as good. The problem is with his Medical Assistant in Moncks Corner location. She is very rude, abrasive, and more concerned about herself, ie, having food delivery to the office. As a patient, I found the medical assistant rude as she asked questions then refused to allow me enough time to answer. Just because I have speech asphasia and unable to speak doesn’t mean that I am not viable. I have a communication device, can hear, understand better than most, plus I have feelings too..

Poorly managed office!
I am shocked at the lack of professionalism with the office manager in charge of scheduling surgery. 5 weeks ago Dr. Baker said we would get a call in the next 24 hours to schedule a potentially life-saving surgery. We still cannot get them to even return a call let alone schedule the procedure. We even complained to our regular cardiologist and they said they can't get a return call either. When I went to the reviews and saw that this is an ongoing problem, I was saddened that it hasn't been dealt with yet. How can an office that is supposed to save lives take such risks with their patients? As a cancer patient who cannot get the much-needed lung surgery until the heart is fixed, this is not a matter to take so casually. People have asked me if we think there is a licensing issue or another unexplained reason why they don't schedule their surgeries. I don't think so because I see on the reviews that it is ongoing problem. I wish there were other doctors we could use.

Dr. Baker is well prepared in his field. However he has zero compassion and has zero time for anything but facts. His PA is condensing and really just rude! His staff is very unprofessional in all ways possible. I guess it’s just tolerated! After three years of being his patient I just cannot go back.

Very caring physician. Explains things well until all questions are answered. His assistant , Teresa always returned my calls and explained when and where to go for tests and procedures and when to start and stop meds.

We have no problem with the work Dr Baker has done for my husband. However, the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. We have called repeatedly and left messages ... none of which are returned. We needed Baker's approval to have a MRI, but no matter how many times we called they never called Trident Hosp back with the approval. Now we are trying to change doctors, and BAKER doesn't release whatever it is that takes the report from my husband's pacemaker every evening. Waiting approx 2 month

My A-Fib was misdiagnosed since childhood (60 yrs ago), and Dr. Baker was able to provide a correct diagnosis. For the past 10 years, he has performed 2 ablations, and fine-tunes my heart meds to suite my needs. I appreciate his thoroughness and no-nonsense manner. The office wait-times are in-line with other physicians I have seen. I cannot ask for better cardiac care; I highly recommend him to those seeking treatment for heart issues. Thank you, Dr. Baker & staff, for your excellent care!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Baker. He has treated my dangerous heart arrhythmia for over 5 years. Recently, he did an ablation on me and it appears that the procedure was a success! This is a life changing event for me and I am so grateful to Dr. Baker and his team. I was awake for the procedure and got to see (and hear) firsthand how competent, determined, and skilled he was in handling this. Thank you Dr. Baker for changing my life! I will not take this for granted :-)
