pill mill doc, not compassionate psychiatrist
horrible experience. claims to do therapy, but is clearly just a doctor that prescribes serious controlled substances without hesitation. Has zero compassion to clients. treats people like labrats and tries various meds with zero concern for their safety. I was his patient for over 6 months and only had one telehealth appointment.

Horrible. Don't know how he's still practicing. He functions as a pill dispensary; you'll end up with more problems than when you started. Stay away from him; find a real doctor.

He is absolutely wonderful I would never not give him a five star review I don’t know why anybody would ever give him less. He spends a full hour is an actual psychiatrist and is very kind.

I have been under the care of Dr. Babiak for years. Visits with him are like talking with an old friend. I disagree with reviews that complain about his response to request for refills or any other complaint. He explains the process and there are rules. Follow the clear cut directions and ask will be fine.

This dr prescribed me medication, then went MIA when it was time for refills and to fill out paperwork for my pcp. When he did finally correspond, he had no concern what-so-ever for me as a patient, argued that I was even under his care and immediately cut off all prescriptions and cancelled all future appointments. It took months to withdrawl from his medications.

I think he's great. Your appointments with him will be very relaxed, you won't get 'White Coat Syndrome' with him; you won't feel like you're talking to a doctor at all. If you're not good with computers, you might be frustrated, he uses technology to deal with the appointments, billing, and refills. If you need a refill, just email him with a few days notice. If you meet the legal qualifications, you can Facetime/Skype with him. You can pay your copay with Paypal, or even Bitcoin. Book your appointment online, it will save right to your smartphone calendar. I'm sure he sees a lot of Cornell students, so he's great about letting the new technology deal with the B.S.; which means he can give you his full attention during sessions.

I haven't seen him enough to have a full opinion of his character, but I have complaints about accessibility issues. He uses finicky and often confusing software to schedule appointments and to make payments. He also has no waiting room or shelter or signage outside his office. I couldn't get in contact with him for months and he never returned the messages I left. One plus is that he doesn't draw out the process of prescribing medication, assuming you already have a sense of what ails you.

I am a former patient of this doctors and I really like his services. He is a professional on time and very comfortable to talk to. He has an actual personality and intelligence level that makes it interesting to have conversations with him. There was no need for anyone to leave a negative review as I never had a negative experience the entire time I saw him and I drove an hour. He is worth the money and helps anyone that truly needs it.

Dr Babiak was a godsend for me. What a breath of fresh air to have a Doctor Who will sit and have a genuine conversation with his patient to get down to the real root of the problem. I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with a PTSD diagnosis and I went to VA facilities for years with horrifying results. After just a few months under Dr. Babiak’s care I have felt better than I have in years. I’m sleeping, I’m happy, I’m living life again. Thanks Dr. Babiak.

Dr. Babiak Is a genius when it comes to prescribing medication. Many people may be against marijuana that is medical but since I have gotten on it I have been so much calmer and more relaxed. I feel safer on it. Or use it in a dose the formulations that are safe. I can't overdose on it and it is much safer. He is a great Doctor Who also is a medical practitioner, a regular doctor or general practitioner. He can diagnose most conditions easily and a psychiatrist office. 5 star

Dr. Babiak Ithaca New York is an incredible doctor. He was a general practitioner and then switch to Psychiatry but can diagnose both kinds of issues. I am very happy with his services and will keep him as a doctor as long as he will have me. I switch doctors because my previous psychiatrist gave me 15 minutes. I paid cash for this doctor because he genuinely spends the entire hour with me and for me that is priceless. He also works at Cornell for psychiatry issues for students. A plus Doc.

I have been seeing Dr. Babiak for 10 months now and he's been great. Making appointments is easy and he even does teleconferencing. He is willing to work with his patients to find the best course of medications for your issues. He gets back to you quickly if you have issues with your meds and will make adjustments sooner, rather than later. He is knowledgeable and innovative. He's been more of a help than all my other doctors combined.

I scheduled an appointment with this doctor and had to cancel my appointment because my aunt died, so he rescheduled another one. Since his appointments are made through emails I must have accidentally cancelled the appointment by mistake. When I emailed him to let him know that it was a mistake and I was planning to keep the appointment I received no reply back. They sent me a rude email saying that I was booted from the office and to contact my local mental health office.
