Dr. Brian Betensky, MD

Was referred by another cardiologist that does the same type of procedures and he referred me to Dr. Betensky because he is able to the more complicated ablations that have a high rate of difficulty with great success.

I was admitted into SMH for super ventricular tachycardia . After looking at my cardio mobile and using all the other diagnostic testing he decided to perform an abolition on my sinus node. He is a fantastic electrophysiologist and cardiologist. I had my procedure today without complication and I would just like to say Doctor thank you. I also strongly recommend the Sarasota Memorial healthcare system for the level of care and compassion.

He seemed like a great doctor but we have left 20 plus messages in the past 6 months to schedule his ablation and almost begged for a call back. No call back. No ablation. Infuriating having this off call back!

I have been seeing Dr Betensky for a few years now following a Widowmaker, which left me with irregular heart rhythm. He is extremely helpful, friendly, understanding, and one of the most competent doctors I have ever had. He performed an ablation on me, and works with me to try to get my heart rhythm as regular as possible, despite damage to my heart due to the Widowmaker. I recommend him without reservation!

Dr. Bentensky has switched to being a concierge doctor. Unless you have thousands of dollars to sign up for this service (above and beyond your co-pays), you only see the Physician Assistant. I felt that I was in competent and sincere hands when I saw him but only seeing a PA for complicated cardiac conditions is bothersome and concerning that you may not be getting the best care. I feel that an annual visit should be done by Dr. B and in between visits could be with the PA. Staff is overall excellent and this particular practice is the highest recommended practice in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. I would honestly rate Dr. B much higher, but when you sign up with him, be aware that you're really seeing a PA that acts as an intermediary, unless you have the means to afford the steep price for the concierge service.

We used him twice and the last time he did an ablation on my husband, he assured us all went well. It turns out that this last ablation made my husbands afib persistent, and his quality of life is non-existent.

Did excellent work. Absolutely awesome. He was excellent and very pleasant to work with. A real professional. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Betensky is excellent in all areas. He has even called me on weekends. He spends as much time as you need to discuss your situation. The only problem is making and keeping appointments. He is so busy and in such high demand he only schedules office appointments one day a week. Unless there is a serious issue be prepared to reschedule your visits.

My husband had surgery Monday ar Sarasota Memorial. He never can out to talk to us. The nurse tried 3 times to get him to come out to see us he was busy. Dr Nallari gave us a recommendation for him. I as his wife have never been treated like this by any Dr. His office had the audacity to call today and said he talked to us. HE NEVER DID. VERY ANGRY

I suffered a severe episode of Atrial Fib after kidney surgery. Dr. Betensky saved my life. I cannot impress upon one enough how competent and compassionate this physician is. He is a great addition to our medical community. I am a retired physician. I know excellence when I see it.
