Horrible Doctor !
I was under his care and was weaning off medication. I didn't like him but, if you know how hard it can be to find a Dr. You'll understand why I just kept going. When I got down to a really low dose, I felt myself spiraling and begged him to please stop the weaning and he told me no! He Said to quit my job since my boss was stressing me out, and to take a yoga class, and spend time outside. I told him, sobbing, that I was having suicidal ideation and to please take me back up to the dose I was on or start some new meds and he refused and said his next patient was waiting. I left and obviously didn't reschedule and was admitted into Brooke Glenn Psych hospital 2 weeks later. He shouldn't be anyone's psychiatrist!!!

He told me to stop my cancer medication that was causing me side effects. He told me to go to a tanning bed to get more light exposure and to not wear sunscreen

Did not take me seriously and spent a lot of time asking me why my boyfriend and I weren't engaged and a bunch of other deeply personal questions that were unrelated, unprofessional, and extremely uncomfortable. He then proceeded to tell me the "cure" for depression was to lay outside (in the middle of winter) wearing a bikini – "preferably a two piece for maximum exposure" – to get more Vitamin D. I left his office shaking and am trying to find out how to report him for misconduct.

It was awkward seeing this doctor. He had a smirk on his face and was condescending. I was so glad to leave.

Do not waste your time seeing this doctor. He spent no time with me and literally I was only in his office for 4-5 minutes after telling him the severity of my symptoms (Which included Suicidal thoughts and hearing voices) he did NOTHING to try and help me, only increased the medication that wasn't working for me. He does not spend the time he needs to with clients, and I was left to fend for myself for TWO months before he bothered to schedule me again.

Worst Dr. I have ever seen. he doesn't seem like he cares about his job at all. It seems like he doesn't want to be there. He didn't read any patient information that I brought for him. He wrote a prescription for a drug that did not work in the past and wrote it for 1 refill. The "refill until" date was one day before he prescribed it. How am I supposed to refill this? He told me I could come off of an SSRI right away and it would be easy. I ended up tapering off myself and it was hell. Awful.

If you google, he is studied in Forensic Psychiatry. Crime & psychology of person/s. I read a book about forensic investigators, they study dead bodies to determine how, where, when they were killed or died, & how long dead. I think psychiatry is science to him, not a warm fuzzies care-taker need to cater to woman emotionalism! I would not come crying unless I couldn't help myself! I am a science, What do I need, how do I tick, & what do I need from him. I just need Rx's so I can work well!

I would not recommend Dr. Bora to anyone. When I explained my symptoms, he literally laughed at me. I asked for books/resources to help, and he said just look it up on google. Wasn't helpful at all.
