Dr. Brian Christensen, MD

ZERO STARS. This man is extremely unprofessional. He is very arrogant and makes you feel like a complete idiot. Even asking the simplest of questions he makes you feel like you should already know that. For as 'distinguished' as he is a medical 'professional', he certainly behaves very immaturely and arrogantly.

Dr. Christensen changed my view on surgery. I have had some poor past experiences. Dr. Christiansen went above and beyond my expectations. He came in to do surgery on a day he didn’t even have too for me. I have had an umbilical hernia for 16 years and to have it fixed, I am thrilled. I had fears of waking up to large lap sites or big incisions. I had minimal lap sites and a new belly button after years of disliking my protruding belly button. He is a genuine man and kind next to being a top notch surgeon. I appreciate all he does for patients and what he has done for me. I would highly recommend to anyone I know and that says a lot because I do not trust easily. Thank you, I didn't even realize how much better it would feel to have this fixed. His office staff is personable and friendly and his office is inviting and a better feel than most. 10 out of 10 for Dr. Christensen and his wonderful team.

Several years ago Dr Christensen took out my gallbladder. My appointments and surgery went smoothly with no complications. Dr. Christensen impressed me as being concerned and competent. I now have Diverticulitis and will be seeing him shortly. If I need surgery I will choose him and Madison Memorial Hospital for the surgery. In my opinion they both are competent and the best in this area.

Doctor asked minimal questions about my condition prior to the procedure. He was then 3 hours late for performing the procedure (this was a morning procedure.) He further provided minimal explanation after the procedure. One week later he sent me his report, on one page signed he said he found something and on the other signed page he said the same thing was not found. IN ONE REPORT HE ISSUED TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FINDINGS. Overall, the man seems disorganized, inattentive and uncaring about his work. The best way to describe this experience is sloppy.

He has done all my colonoscopy procedures and my gallbladder surgery. He did my wifes gallbladder surgery AND he did exploratory abdominal surgery when other doctors said it was her appendix. After an examine, he did not think it was the appendix. Surgery confirmed it was not - but a large golf ball sized benign mass. I would highly recommend him to others.

Dr. Christensen was excellent to work with! I had been sick for a while and I was getting very discouraged. He listened to my concerns, he was thorough in his assessing my problem, and he was clear and honest about the treatment and possible outcomes. I was very grateful for a practitioner who listened and helped me recover. Thank you!

Went in to the ER at Madison Hospital eight months pregnant with an appendix that was ready to rupture. He took so much care in my case and gave me the peace of mind I needed to go into an appendectomy knowing that I may or may not come out with a baby. He did a fabulous job and was able to perform the surgery without disturbing the pregnancy one bit. So much talent and such great bedside manner. Thank you Dr. Christensen!

Dr. Christensen removed my gallbladder. Everything went exactly as he explained and I was well prepared for the surgery. He scheduled it right away after the consult so I didn't have to spend a lot of time worrying about it. I chose Dr. Christensen because he performed an emergency surgery on my husband last year at Madison Memorial and he is wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He treats his patients like people. I would recommend him to everyone!

Dr. Christensen was great! My gallbladder was full of stones and he gave me a few options, told me what he thought was best and I had my gallbladder removed. He is super professional and laid back, which for me was great. When doctors seem stressed, then I feel stressed. He put me at ease and walked me through everything step by step. I would definitely recommend him.

My wife tried to get in for surgery and the office staff was so rude and didn't call me back for days. Then the doctor finally came in and looked like he just plowed a field and was all dirty and acted very uncareing to us. I won't be going back again!

Dr. Christensen were excellent. He treated my condition with the urgency needed for the diagnosis of Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
