My husband and I both have see Dr Duff for several years. We really feel comfortable with him and feel like he is very thorough during our visits. We really like his NP's as well. Cinnamon was wonderful and spend a lot of time with me, and Bridget is very thorough and compassionate. His nurse is very sweet and makes us feel comfortable.

If I could leave 0 stars I would
Dr. Duff told me all of my problems are because I am obese (I am 5'6' and weighed 165 at that time) Told me that I needed to eat 3 balanced meals a day, get 30 min of exercise a day and drink plenty of water. This does not take a scientist or a person with 8 years of schooling and a license to tell people. Told me my severe anxiety could be fixed with a beta blocker and he wasn't going to prescribe a 'controlled substance' I did not even bring up any medications all I did was say I wanted to discuss my anxiety, and he treated me like a drug seeker. I felt so disrespected, dismissed and gaslit that I cried in my car. No one should ever have to cry in their car after a routine doctors visit.

Just keep looking
Not a caring doctor. Just keep looking. This one isn’t even worth your time of 1 visit. Rude, know it all and uncaring.

Does not listen
We had to change physicians since ours retired and one initial visit he was nice and said he would continue our current plans we had. On f/u visit, he wanted to change everything, despite trying to tell him all the years me and the other Dr's worked very hard to get me where I am. He refused to listen and said I was making excuses, he never read my chart to see what we had done already (everything he wanted to do again). He became very angry, said everything was my fault, then I never received any paperwork. I looked my appt up on the portal and he charted he did a full assessment on me, and he never got within 3 feet of me. Then he wrote on my chart I was hesitant to his advice, which also was untrue. I am always compliant w/ what the Dr's tell me to do. Wish I could get a new Dr, but Cox insurance/facilities won't let you switch like that. Use someone else!

Nice on the surface. He doesn’t seem to read patients notes before coming in the room. He’s sent rx’s to pharmacy for different strengths of the same med so pharmacy has no idea which one to fill. He has argued that he’s never prescribed a certain med so I’ve had to show him the bottle to prove it. He seems to have an underlying anger and is very cynical. He orders tests then forgets why. He can be ok for someone who needs the basics.

He was not compassionate, and had very poor patient doctor practice. Where did he go to school and what were his grades?

Dr Duff is very friendly in person when you are actually able to get an appointment to see him. His office staff can be friendly in person but over the phone they are unfriendly at times. His office staff and triage nurses can be extremely nice but they can also be very rude. They become very defensive if asked for more information or if asked questions they aren't sure of. Overall, he can be nice in person but he has missed some items on reports.

Dr. Duff has been my family doctor for several years now. He is great about answer any questions you have and explains things in a way that makes total sense. He started seeing my younger two children while they were infants and I have always been pleased with how he treats our entire family. My kids always enjoy getting to see the doctor which I think says a lot about him.
