Dr. Brian Hettrick, MD

We have been seeing Dr. Hettrick for around 30 years. He has always been very kind, caring, thoughtful and thorough. His entire staff has always been very efficient, caring and thoughtful. We have recommended Dr. Hettrick for years.

Dr. Hettrick is a wonderful doctor. He tells it to you straight. Gets me in when I need to be seen. My last visit I was so sick I thought I was going to go crazy. Ended up being bronchitis he gave me meds. The office called to check on me a few days later, I said I'm not better. They gave me different meds and that did the trick. I see him twice a year for annual exam. The staff is always kind and helpful. He also took great care of my father during his last 7 years of life.

Husband was tested for Covid 19 the day after I was found positive. My testing (elsewhere) got my results in 9 hours. Not a rapid test just did it thru Froedtert with in house lab. Husband asked Hettrick how long for results and was told 24 hours. OK. 3 days later County called to say positive. Hettricks office left a voicemail 14 days afterward telling him he's positive. Completely irresponsible - people's lives are involved!

I went for a physical he found a hernia, a few days later I was urinating blood. I immediately called the office and was told they are too busy I can go to a walk in clinic. I decided that since I had just seen the Dr. it would make more sense for him to see me again, they had me wait 4 days for an appointment. The day of the appointment, I had to wait outside in my car in the parking lot for 45 minutes without any acknowledgement from them. I tried calling from parking lot, no answer just went to voicemail. When I started to leave they came and got me, put me in a room for another 25 minutes. When the doc came in, I explained what happened, he closed his computer, stood up, opened the door and said "find another doctor". I felt like he abandoned me when I need him most. He is more concerned about his sail boat than my health concerns. I do not recommend this doctor or staff as they are condescending and rude.

Great Dr very helpful great bedside manner friendly staff

Dr doesn’t seem to know what’s going on from one appointment to the next. Requires unnecessary, very frequent ‘follow up” visits. Unable to speak with the Dr unless you pay for an office visit. Staff is extremely rude, condescending and judgmental. Disappointing for an office that’s supposed to specialize in geriatric care. Would not recommend.
