Dr. Brian Marriott, MD

Dr. Brian is very thorough. He ordered many different lab tests for me including some that were unlikely to be of issues. In this regard, he is a great doctor. However, after months he has not given me any treatment or recommendation. He said he needed to know more. So he sent me to get more lab tests. He spent so little time with me during my visits, giving me no time to ask more than one question. When the lab reports showed more than one abnormality, he saw me in the office and only briefly mentioned one of those issues. He said I had to go back to hear about the next issue. I have had many other doctors. They might not be as thorough as Dr. Marriott, but they all gave me a reasonable amount of time to ask and discuss my health concerns. I felt anxious with Dr. Marriot because I was afraid of not having enough time to finish one question.

As a new patient I wanted to Tell him a little bit about my health concerns. He said he had no time. to hear it Then he told me to go back in a few days. When I try to ask him a question he said he had no time. The same with every visit. I spent over an hour to go to his office and I get 3 minutes or less of his time. He is very thorough in ordering Lab tests for me including some unnecessary ones. Then he only mentioned one thing on the report briefly during my visit and told me to go back again to hear about the next item on the report because he had no time to tell me more in one visit.

I have seen him for three different issues. He listened to my concerns, gave advice, and prescribed tests and medicines. I was grateful that he recommended a book on intermittent fasting when I told him I wanted to try it for weight loss. On later visits, he remembered me and was interested to hear more about how that was going. (It went very well and in 5 months I lost 20 lbs with it) I like his quiet respectful style and am grateful for several kinds of help.

Listens well and very knowledgeable and kind.

Failed to order a test in a timely manner with potential serious implications for patient requiring patient follow-up. Postponed by a longstanding new patient physical an additional two weeks. This after refusing to see patient delayed 15 mins by traffic (who had spent 2 hours on the road to get there).
