I have never met a doctor as knowledgeable and caring as he is. When in his care, I know that not only my medical problem will be addressed but also its underlying cause. Dr Pearlman listens and answers questions patiently and explains clearly his diagnostic. Dr Pearlman is enthusiastic and always up to date with the latest treatments available, and will choose the best one for me, based on his years of experience as an internist and on the latest results of his research. Once a treatment has been put in place, Dr Pearlman will follow its progress. And finally, all I can say is that I wish my friends and family could have the chance to have Dr Pearlman as their physician.

Saved my life
Dr. Pearlman is probably the best doctor I've been to in my 59 years on the earth. He genuinely cares about you and does everything he can to help you. I was diagnosed with Hep. C in 2010 and referred to Atl. Medical Center and Dr. Pearlman was my doctor. He got me into a Hep. C drug clinical trial which was helpful since I didn't have insurance. This way I got the only drugs FDA approved available at the time and didn't have to pay. He did everything in his power to help me. He explained to me every detail of my treatment good and bad. It's been twelve years healed from Hep. C. I recommend Dr. Pearlman to anyone who needs a good doctor. I am grateful he was my doctor during this trial in my life.

Beware of allowing Dr. Pearman to put you into the hepatitis c clinical trials and being given the drugs ribavirin/telaprevir/interferon in the control group instead of the new drugs waiting to be FDA approved. He will allow you to take the old drugs knowing you are too sick to take them until you become so sick that you are in liver failure and then he will only take you out of the trial after the trial itself says to take you off the medications. He will not try to get you a new liver even though you test negative for hepatis c. He will do nothing to save your life and will say "Oh well, sometimes these things happen." He won't try to get you another liver even though he has the connections to do so because he doesn't want anyone to know that he is going to cost a man his life. PLEASE go to someone else to enter a clinical trial of any kind. This all happened between 2011 and 2012. By the way I don't see in his credentials that he is a hepatologist.

Excellent. Good clear communicator and appropriate level of empathy especially from a national expert in the field.

What a great doctor! (down-to-earth, kind, good communicator, expert in the field-lectures nationally on the subject and well-published too). Highly recommended. probably the most widely known hepatitis-treating clinician in Georgia right now

I met with Dr. Pearlman and other Doctors for a consultation regarding Hepatitis C treatment. I was very impressed with Dr. Pearlman's training and experience conducting clinical trials of new medicines, but he also took the time to explain everything very clearly, made sure he answered all my questions fully, and showed a lot of patience and caring. I decided to make a 5 hour drive every month to be treated by him, instead of much closer Doctors at home. The treatment was successful. Great care

I saw Dr. Pearlman for Hep-C treatment after living with the dreaded virus for over 21 yrs. I was first aware of it in the mid-'90's and I endured 18 months of Interferon/ribavirin torture that used to pass for treatment. Back then, the cure was worse than the disease! After meeting with him he immediately impressed me as knowledgeable without being arrogant and really knew how to listen to the questions he asked me. He treated me and cured the virus and almost 6 months later I'm still free of C
