Dr. Brian Selbst, DPM

This provider keeps you waiting in his waiting room for a length of time. My time is valuable too.Clipped a piece of my toenail with toenail clippers, and billed my insurance for surgery; questionable!

I went to Dr. Selbst for pain in my heel and arch. After tests he diagnosed me with a large heel spur and severe plantar fasciitis. Dr. Selbst suggested surgery to repair both conditions. After necessary surgery release from my cardiologist, we went forward with the surgery. I was fearing post op and recovery pain. I was so happy to realize this pain was never realized. My foot was totally numb the 2 days following surgery. Had some pain the third day following surgery but the forth day I was beginning to feel better. I am now at week 5 post surgery and have only 1 more week to wear the boot. Dr. Selbst said my surgery went very well. I am so please with my surgery, the care Dr. Selbst has given me, they surgery outcome and that I went forward with the surgery. I am still getting familiar with my "new" foot. I call it this as I am experiencing new sensations, without pain, and that my foot actually supports my weight much better now. I'm very happy.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Selbst. He was not gentle or sensitive when touching my dad's feet. I asked him to be more gentle and he did not. He did not apologize for hurting my father's feet even when my dad yelped in pain. I would not recommend him to anyone.

If you have a foot problem, this is the doctor you want treating it. If you want a doctor who is on your side, not the hospital's or the insurance company's, this is the doctor you want. I spent 2 unsuccessful years trying to find someone who could tell me what was wrong with my foot. When other doctors thought my foot was not worth saving, Dr. Selbst stepped in and saved it. He's as hard working and committed as any health professional I've ever met. I'm walking again when I came perilously close to losing my foot, and I owe it all to Dr. Brian Selbst.

I have been endlessly impressed with Dr. Selbst and his team. From diagnostics, to exploring treatment options, and finding with the ultimate fix, he was with me the whole way. His ability to speak comprehensively and extensively about the pros and cons of different treatment methods is second-to-none. One of the standout characteristics of his practice is in his ability to care about a patient's long-term success over any immediate "fix". His talents are remarkable, highly recommended.
