1 visit with Dr. Brian Shin and will not return. I came to this visit with all my records since 2011 when diagnosed/ extensive surgery for breast cancer. I had no chemo/ radiation. I was receiving a blood test yearly for 2 cancer markers to detect possible metastatic disease. I explained that it has been almost 2 years since last markers; that I again have a "pathological" fatigue, months that no amount of rest would help. I explained that this was "my symptom" initially for over a year despite perfect standard blood work, exercise and healthy diet. My cancer was found on mammogram which I had yearly for 20 years due to strong family history. There were no lumps, tenderness, discharge; my fatigue abated after that surgery. Now it is back. He refused to do the markers; he spent the entire time defending "why not". I again explained the fatigue as same as the initial diagnosis. He stated "I don't think so". To discount my information and feelings is INEXCUSABLE. A blood test. Really?
