Dr. Brian Weatherby, MD

Dr. Weatherby came highly recommended by another orthopedic doctor for a bone defect in my ankle. Dr. Weatherby proved to be very knowledgeable about my condition and how to repair it. In addition I had a torn tendon that he repaired as well and scar tissue removed. He explained the procedure to be performed prior to scheduling and allowed time for questions and answered my questions. He is a kind and intelligent doctor. I am only two weeks out from surgery and have to say I am impressed at how well they managed my pain from the day of surgery with a peripheral nerve block for the first three days so I would not have to feel the excruciating pain that could have resulted and oral medications when needed. Recovery is going well and I give Dr. Weatherby and his staff from the front desk to the check out staff and everyone I encountered at his office and the surgery center a 5 star review for their kindness, knowledge, professionalism, skill levels, and for repairing my ankle.

I really thought I'd be in pain the rest of my life but Dr Weatherby proved me wrong. My PCP in WNC(2 hrs. away)said I needed a Total ankle replacement.Dr.Weatherby listened to what I hoped for & would do everything possible to make surgery a last resort! A brace, a foot & ankle injection & orthodics were ordered & performed. He showed concern for my 2hr commute & is so willing to help me it's as if he 'feels my pain'! I can't wait till my appointment next week to tell him how much he has already helped me!

I could not be happier with the outcome of the surgery and care provided by Dr. Weatherby. I received a full reconstruction on my right foot due to my CMT condition. The results of the surgery have been fantastic! The ulcer under my pinky toe has healed completely. My foot has a normal arch. I am able to walk heel to toe on that foot for the first time ever in my life. Most of all however I’m completely pain free! I highly recommend Dr. Weatherby, especially to those with CMT.

Achilles tendonitis. Told that PT will correct it with 100% certainty. Surprised a doctor would say that. It did not work. Went back for follow up. Didn't even take my sock off for exam. In surgical boot for 6 weeks. Told no PT needed coming out of boot. Within 48 hours, pain back at 100%. Unimpressed.

Dr. Weatherby is a thorough, compassionate and competent doctor. I would gladly recommend his care to others.

highly competent, two surgeries, recommend and will return if needed

I had two surgeries, one on each ankle, for torn peroneal tendons. Dr. Weatherby first tried nonsurgical means to correct the problem. Once physical therapy failed to correct the problem MRI results confirmed the torn tendons and I elected surgery. I have been impressed with the professional manner and results of my surgery. My expectations have been met and I am very pleased with my treatment. I would recommend Dr. Weatherby to my family and close friends.
