Doesn’t listen to patient
I only saw Dr Kamen for about 5 minutes each visit while pregnant. I told her about my severe and debilitating migraines which she dismissed multiple times. Her treatment methods are 100% hers and doesn’t include patient input; hence why I went elsewhere and encourage others to do so if they know she isn’t listening to them. You know your body and you are your own advocate.

She might be great as a pregnancy ob but not so much as a general ob/gyn. I went to her with what was pretty much a textbook case of endometriosis, I had diagnostic surgery with her, nothing was done during the procedure because my endometriosis was already very advanced. I was dismissed and told to just take oral birth control to try and suppress my symptoms, which I was already doing. This wasn't good enough for me because I'm still young and nowhere near menopause, so a couple of months later I see an expert, I undergo surgery again and receive excision surgery. I was told that it was possible I'd come out of excision surgery with no ovaries but during surgery they decided that my ovaries we're salvageable. I'm happy that I didn't follow Dr. Kamen's reccommendation or I would've soon ended up with a partial hysterectomy. I am now doing great and got rid of a lot of endometriosis related pain.

Dr. Kamen helped deliver my daughter a few weeks ago and I was very lucky to have her. She listened to my concerns and worked very hard to respect my birth plan. It meant a lot to me to deliver vaginally but there complications. Most doctors would have given up and did a C-section but Dr. Kamen was patient and worked with me to deliver a healthy, beautiful baby girl. She's professional, courteous, competent, and caring. I would highly recommend her.

Awesome doctor, I don't have one negative thing to say. She delivered my daughter and was my ob doctor. She is very laid back and made me feel like I was talking to her more on personal level, rather then just another doctor. I trusted her and knew she cared about me and my baby throught my pregnancy and delivery. I wouldn't choose anyone else when I decide to have another child.

We previously had a different doctor but he had to move away by the time I was 20 weeks pregnant. Dr Kamen was highly recommended to us so we switched to her care and I am so glad we did. She is very knowledgable and informative. She is easy to talk to and most importantly she listens to her patients. She speaks to them instead of at them. She delivered our baby 2 weeks ago, everything went perfect! Dr Kamen is the BEST! :)

I saw Dr Kamen for a hysterectomy, she spent plenty of time explaining the procedure. The procedure was robotic and I am up moving well the next day.

I saw Dr Kamen for undiagnosed abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts and pelvic pain. She was trite and dismissive of my symptoms which I later learned were attributed to having endometriosis, a diagnosis which she vehemently denied being a possibility. Maybe she's great with pregnant women, but she's certainly not got enough experience to be treating women with reproductive disorders not related to pregnancy.
