Dr. Brockford Herring, DO

I feel that Dr Herring did a good job w my surgery. Had a bone spur removed w a tendon release. Post Op appointments and staff were not good. We waited for an hour in the exam room at first post-op. Waited 45 min in exam room today for 2nd set of stitches removal. Went out to check w his nurse…she said well we brought you back on time. No apology or personality whatsoever! PA explained that he was working solo this week and they had a lot of new patient appts, etc. Shouldn’t post-op patients be a priority? Also had an issue trying to reach someone after hours. Never did get a call back. So, bottom line surgery seems okay but post op is not acceptable. Other Drs in this group are awesome, so I did not expect this.

Dr Herring absolutely sucks He was getting ready to release me due to after I tore up my ankle at work back in 2014 I got a second opinion with ortho Carolina the first visit with ortho Carolina the Dr informed me I needed surgery on the first visit if it was that obvious why didn’t DR herring see this I believe he was in the pocket of my employer because This was a worker’s comp injury

Takes the conservative approach and only recommends surgery if absolutely necessary.

Dr Herring is not only an exceptionally good Surgeon but he is a genuine human being! He has put me back together twice now and wouldn’t think of going to anyone else!!!

Amazing Doctor!!!!!! Dr. Herring has preformed 5 surgeries on my foot in the past three years, and always went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care off. All of my surgeries were successful with no problems. I’ve never had a long wait in the office, nor have I ever felt rushed through my appointments. Dr. Herring listens and always gives very detailed answers to my hundreds of questions. Without a doubt I will always refer all of my friends and family to him.

Dr. Herring is an OUTSTANDING SURGEON who is one of the most affable & hands on dr's I have met. How many dr's, let alone surgeons, do you know that will personally take the time to call you? He does. His entire staff is fantastic & they all work wonderfully together. I have had EIGHT surgeries that Dr. Herring has performed in 2 yrs. He saved my foot. I CALL B.S. on the neg. reviews. Ablemarle has only 15k ppl & in 3mos, 4 or 5 ppl from there have surgeries with the same surgeon. B.S!!!!!

I have seen some of the negative reviews and have to say I had a totally different experience. Dr. Herring was knowledgeable, efficient and responsive. I have been very pleased with not only the procedure but also post op care. It has been two years since my surgery and I am about to have him consult with me on another injury.

The absolute WORST experience dealing w Dr Herring immediately after surgery!! He had a great attitude while roping me into allowing him to cut me open but the follow up care is ATROCIOUS almost non existent. I wish I had never heard his name!

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! After surgery I couldn't get him or staff to do or follow up with simple issues. He now has NO TIME FOR ME AT ALL!!!!

Dr Herring has a nasty attitude and is very rude. I should've ran but didn't and now I am worse after being in his care.

Dr Herring just operated on me and I already regret it! He is arrogant and demeaning to both HIS staff, patients and other hospital staff. When I needed simple things all he could answer is NO!! I wish I had not made this mistake that is the reason I am writing a review so others don't go through what I had to go through.
