Dr. Brooke Bavinger, MD

To begin with my child has a disability. I was recommended to Dr. Bavinger through my daughters nurse through CMS insurance. I made the switch because everything I was told about her was very promising. Her nurse and I made the switch and made her the pcp .When I called to make an initial appointment as a new patient the person who answered the phone said she can’t be accepted she has a disability , I then asked what was needed for her to even be considered as a new patient, although her insurance had her as her pcp. She said she wanted to know if my daughter saw other specialist, her hospitalization in the nicu, her neuro paperwork, a release note from her former pcp to “release” my daughter as their patient and be seen by her. Parents should be able to decide for themselves who is their child’s pcp.Then I asked if I could drop off the paperwork because I had zero intention to leave her private info there if they weren’t going to take her on as a patient and I was told I couldnt go in
