Dr. Bruce French, MD

I have been going to Orthopedic One for a few years for various issues, seeing physicians for specific conditions. They have all been excellent, along with the associated physical therapy. A month ago I had a traumatic event with my femur. As an emergency, Dr. Bruce French was called in and repaired the femur. Dr. French was incredible in terms of his information to me and my family from start to finish in the hospital. I will continue follow up under his care and really appreciate his knowledge and passion for the medical discipline, and his ability to translate the complex to a level which both gives me comfort and security while in his care. He is the crowning jewel of what I have found to be a supremely professional medical practice!

Dr. French is everything you want in an orthopedic surgeon: intelligent, skillful, kind and compassionate. I can’t say enough good things about him!

I broke my arm and was so fortunate to have Dr. French perform my surgery. He is a great surgeon and a great man! I was blessed that he was on my team.

Dr. French treated me during the past two months for three acetabular fractures. I cannot imagine a better doctor. He explained the situation to me, and what was the best course of action. He listened very well, and always answered all my questions in a direct and honest manner. No praise is adequate to explain his excellence in all areas for orthopedic patients.

My daughter had a knee surgery and suffered a post-operative infection , had a second surgery and was told that a wound vac would prevent fluid from accumulating. Well fluid accumulated again and it became infected again. The original doctor said we wouldn’t need to send cultures from a third surgery because we already know the organism from before. Fluid should ALWAYS be sent for culture. That is not the standard of care. When I questioned the original surgeon as to how the fluid reaccumulated he started talking about the home care nurses using tap water (which is completely acceptable in an open surgical wound) and something about the difference in wound vac manufacturers. Forgot to mention that the original surgeon removed fluid 10 days post-op which is not recommended. Upon experiencing all of this , Dr. French refused her transfer saying “She already has a surgeon.” Well, I would argue, not a very good one. So she is forced to have a 3rd surgery with this inept doctor.

Dr Bruce French took care of me 20 years ago after I experienced a fall from 80 feet and sustained a complex tibial and ankle fracture. His care was excellent. He had very good communication with me. He was honest with me. He reconstructed my injury in such a way that I have been able to heal and return to work. I would highly recommend Dr French to anyone.

Dr. french was so personable. Was open to any and all questions and took the time to explain. Everything that had taken place with my surgery would highly recommend orthopedic one.

He did my hip surgery and was pleased how it all went..very nice in office for follow up and staff was excellent..follow up July 6th for discharge..keep up the good work

I was transferred to the Trauma Center at Riverside requesting Orthopedic One. I am so glad I got Dr. French! I first met him while I was in Pre-Op. Before being put under, Dr. French explained what he planned to do. Here I am 3 weeks after surgery and had my first follow up yesterday. Dr. French’s bed side manner was the best I e ever seen! Great sense of humor! X-rays were taken and Dr. French went over them with me explaining everything thoroughly to me leaving me without any questions! So far I believe the surgery went smoothly and the end result will be excellent! Dr. French is the man!!!

He is very compassionate and has a great personality! He operated on my 91 year old mother with great results! Highly recommended!

Dr French is remarkable. He's my angel. After a near fatal car accident 3 years ago that crushed my ribs and then some, Dr French managed to put humpty dumpty together again.. Literally saved my life. He is so nice, caring and best of all.. Funny!! I would and have recommended him to everyone. God Bless!
