After already scheduling surgery for and ACL repair I decided to go to my old stomping grounds, Sacred Heart Hospital now part of St Luke's health network where I made an appointment with Dr. Worried that having the repair would intensify my osteoarthritis by tightening up the knee, which was pointed out to me at one of the previous examines I wanted one last opinion. Turns out he said a 55 yr old male should never have ACL surgery and after examination couldn't see any reason why a doctor would recommend it...? Whether he's correct or not remains to be seen but he, at least, drained the knee for the first time since the injury, over 9 months, and gave a cortisone injection. The other 2, one which works for LVH and is a total quack and the other from OAA who didn't push it but left no alternative. 3rd time turned out to be a charm...
