Dr. Byron Dodson, DO

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any medical provider. He is arrogant and argues with patients. He tried to cancel my procedure after I had been there 2 hours. I already had the my IV in my arm. He said he could refuse to do the procedure if he felt like it. Then when I finally did get in the room for the procedure, he was in the room less than 10 minutes. That’s not enough time to effectively do a colonoscopy. So now, after all that trouble, time, frustration and large copay, I’m still worried because I don’t feel that I was actually examined. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical provider. I will never see or recommend Dr. Bryon Dodson to anyone I know friend or enemy. The staff at Mon Health was not much better. I will not use their facility again either. If I could give less than one star, I would.

I have been suffering over a decade unable to eat due to severe pain/nausea after eating, with extreme unintentional weight loss, CA 19-9 three times higher than it should be, high liver blood values, etc., and after seeing this doctor I just wanted to cancel all my appts and give up on life. It has taken YEARS to finally get to a surgeon for exploratory surgery and he literally just blew me off no concern for my pain, life whatsoever. He was SO cruel, condescending, arrogant, lacked any bedside manner whatsoever, and argued with every single thing I said. I left crying and wanting to give up. I literally begged him, in front of his nurse, and in writing before the appt, begging him to please help me as I can't take the suffering any longer. He walked out and told his nurse "no charge for the visit." PLEASE spare yourself the heartache and do not see anyone in his practice.

Dr. Dodson is truly a remarkable doctor. He takes the time to read your chart and have a complete understanding of your case before meeting with you. He is extremely personable and has a great bedside manner. He was sympathetic to the health issues my Mother was having and got her scheduled for surgery very quickly. He showed extreme thoroughness in planning out her care prior to surgery. All the above are qualities you don’t find in many doctors these days. I can’t recommend him enough!

Excellent communication, professional, great bedside manner, timeliness, answered all of my questions. Very caring and compassionate physician.
