Awful, Condescending
I had the unpleasant experience of meeting this doctor in the ER. He is absolutely awful. Did not explain all of the bloodwork he was ordering nor why, did not inform me that he wanted an X-ray, just all of a sudden an X-ray tech came in. When blood work came back he didn’t inform me if it was normal or not. He started talking numbers and when asked what the numbers mean, he cut me off mid sentence and told me to he’ll get to that. Well I couldn’t understand because I didn’t know what the numbers meant! He could care less if his patient understood or not. Very arrogant and extremely condescending. I also didn’t trust the choices he made in my medical care.

Excellent care
Dr Trent listened to my rather involved medical history. He went out of his way to help me find relief. And he personally brought my discharge papers out to me and explained them.

Disrespectful Demeaning and Disgraceful Doctor
I had the displeasure of interacting with this rude doctor over the phone during a consultation. Even when talking to other medical professionals this doctor is condescending and lacks basic etiquettes. Don't ever let him talk down to you whether you are a patient or a professional.

Lack of attentive care
It was discovered that I have a metal fragment in my spine on 4/27/23. Well a visit to the ER due to extreme pain and unable to walk properly. Dr Trent ordered a xray where he failed to report this to me. The fragment has been there since 5/03/16. Guess he not the radiologist doesn’t know how to read an X-ray

Poor excuse for a medical provider
Wish i could give him a negative star rating. Save yourself time and just go to a different hospital. This so called dr should be fired! He is the most uncaring, unprofessional, disrespectful dr ever. He wouldn't even look at his arms, check his vitals nothing. He said he's only there for life or death issues. We told him that my husband just got diagnosed with a 3rd dvt last Thursday & he said well he's on blood thinners. We were like yes but still can get a pe he says only if they fail. Seriously!!!! Then maybe they are failing since he has a 3rd dvt!! Maybe run some tests. He almost died from the pe in June 2022 so a new clot is serious! We asked for a different dr he said he was the only one. Seriously where does he get off just assuming it's not life threatening when he did absolutely no tests, no vitals, no nothing. You do not just blow someone off We went to Stormont Vail and got excellent service. Was sent home with 3 scripts and told to follow up with primary.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This Dr sucks
My son almost died from a PE in June. He's on blood thinners but found out he has more clots in his R foot/leg. He woke up feeling very ill so wife took him to ER, as directed by his personal Dr. ER Dr told him he's only there for life saving measures & wouldn't even look at my son. They didn't even take his vials! Wife took him to Stormont Vail in Topeka, where they actually cared. He has bronchitis & was put on meds. LMH could've done the same thing, but they were dicks about it instead.

Excellent care and attention! Got admitted on my birthday and Dr. Trent and the LMH ED team made me a card and signed it…went above and beyond to ensure I understood my prognosis and I am grateful for his amazing approach as I was extremely worried initially upon being admitted but quickly realized I was in great hands under this departments care. With the extra touch of giving me a card and the acknowledgment of my birthday, I felt better knowing they cared about me as a person! Great team in the ER - thank you!

We had to drive to Topeka to get my kid proper emergency care for a conccusion which was worsened by Dr. Trent delaying my kids care because he also is diagnosed with Asperger's. Dr Trent refused to do anything until a screener from the mental health center came.

Over the last 9 years I have had the unfortunate situation of taking my children at various times to the ED at LMH. On more than one occasion we had Dr. Trent as the physician treating our children and the level of compassion and care has been outstanding. I wish he could be there every time we have a situation that requires emergency medical care.

Dr. Trent is extremely bias against chronic pain sufferers, will refuse even minimal treatment for pain emergencies, and will label you as a "drug seeker" in your medical record. It doesn't matter if you have a spotless k-trac report, and aren't requesting excessive treatment for you pain. Don't bother requesting a different ED doc as Dr. Trent will push them to deny you treatment, as well. Dr. Trent is the kind of ED doc that poisons the environment for chronic pain sufferers seeking help.
