Dr. Caleb Vass, DO

He does what he says he will do and I think he explains things to you and answers questions if you have any well

After trying to coordinate care with different medical professionals I realized he was not taking adequate notes and only writing down diagnoses. This made it difficult for him and other office staff to keep track of specific symptoms over time to recommend treatment and write referrals. He seems like a well intentioned Dr and nice guy but the time and dedication needed isn't always there due to working for Lewis Gale and having too many patients. A broken health care system and a company trying to make profit is probably to blame. My experience was mostly in 2024 but some prior.

Dr. Vaas is quick to rush to diagnosis. On last visit before I even explained all of my symptoms he had jumped to a diagnosis and explained what I needed to do in order to correct the issue. I did not feel like he listened to me at all. I asked but what about this or that, can we look into this? He was not willing to investigate any further even though I explained that I had already tried the things that he was suggesting. Long story short he did not resolve my issue and since he was certain that he was correct he did not seek out other answers. I have switched doctors and my issue is being investigated. The new doctor did not agree with Dr. Vaas' diagnosis and agreed with me that the problems I am experiencing are more serious and require further investigation. The new doctor ran a multitude of tests and is referring me to a specialist for my issue. It is a lot more serious than Dr. Vaas assumed. I am glad that I have switched doctors and I would not recommend Caleb Vaas.

This morning I had an appointment with Dr Vass at 8:30. I was a new patient and had nothing stating I needed to be there early for paperwork. I was late by 7 and 1/2 minutes after waiting over 2 months for this appt. They wouldn’t see me and wanted to reschedule. I am a USMC veteran with 7 combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and this was just silly to me. I will not use this Dr and will not recommend him to anyone because of this which may be petty, but after 7 combat tours and waiting for over 2 months being in pain, it just disappoints me to know that I was taking bullets so he could go through med school and he couldn’t overlook 7 1/2 minutes. Dr Vass is such an amazing, cool, funny, and knowledgeable doctor. I was looking for a primary care physician and I am so lucky to have found him. Dr. Vass spent a lot of his busy time with me and paid close attention to everything I said. I never felt rushed and he made me feel more like a friend than a patient. Dr. Vass has my complete trust and I super highly recommend him.

My first appointment with Dr. Vass and I really like him. He listens to you. So far, so good! And I didn’t have to wait any longer than 10 minutes when I arrived at his office! I highly recommend him! Thank you, Dr. Vass!

He actually took the time to listen to me. He doesn't judge or rush his appointment time with you. I have 2 more family members who see him now. Wonderful care given by his staff. I can't give more stars but I would.
