Dr. Calin Maniu, MD

I recently was admitted to Carroll County Hospital with a cardiac issue. During my visit, Dr Maniu performed a Catheterization and I feel that the care he provided was EXCELLENT. During my working career I interfaced and was around doctors for many years and I believe Dr Maniu is about as good as they come. He's a man of limited words but gets right to the point and provides his patients with an easy to understand detailed evaluation of their condition. He also solicits the patients opinions and view points. He is a very knowledgeable and competent Doctor in his field who possesses excellent patient skills.

I didn't have any experience consulting with a cardiologist and would not have known how to select a specialist on heart issues, but I have been very pleased and grateful that I was scheduled to see Dr. Maniu. He is clearly informed on all elements of cardiac challenges and current best practices for care and treatment. He's also an attentive and understanding listener and excellent at answering questions and concerns and explaining clearly what the patient and family members want to know. I could tell right away that he is not only devoted to helping with whatever challenges you have with your heart as a muscle but he is even more devoted to helping the individual dealing with those challenges and how their cardiac conditions affect their lives as a whole. He seems to know the heart isn't just a mechanical device but the key to your existence and quality of life. It's a blessing if Dr. Maniu is on duty when you're in the cardiac ward of the hospital. or getting a consult at the clinic
