Dr. Cameron Johnson, MD

Incredibly condescending and does not listen. Apparently everyone has BPD, according to him. He has an overly inflated ego that frankly isn’t warranted, considering how incompetent he is. I experienced a small set back in my mental health treatment (a melt down) and he tried to gaslight me into thinking I wasn’t making any progress and implied that I had a drinking problem (when I hadn’t been drinking at all). He tried to pressure and fear monger me into starting medication I didn’t want to take. At first I thought I was just being to harsh or unreasonable, but after seeing all these negative reviews about him, my instant dislike of him seems to be justified. He’s nothing more than an abusive, sexist, pill-pushing narcissist. Loma Linda should drop him. If you really care about your patients- especially your female patients- you should not have him treating anyone.

It's a running joke in the program that Johnson diagnoses everyone with borderline and always prescribes the same meds. He also says everyone has sleep apnea with NO sleep study. I've gotten worse under his "care," and he still wants to charge ahead with the exact same treatment with no changes. He also routinely tells me to take more of a medication without ORDERING more of that medication, so now my insurance is refusing me refills. He's a quack and you shouldn't trust him.

He doesn't spend time with his patients to get to know them. He over medicates them to get his desired results. This doctor needs to be checked out by the board for ethical care.

IRRESPONSIBLE, UNETHICAL. Insisted that my sister had sleep apnea (simply because our mother does) WITHOUT A SLEEP STUDY having been performed. Insisted her "sleep apnea" was the cause of her depression, though a CLEAR, SOLID history of significant trauma exists. Called her an alcoholic because she has a glass of wine 1x/month when out to dinner with friends. Abruptly took her off meds that should be tapered. We're a family of medical professionals, and won't let this man near my sister again.
