Their Maseratis
After 27 years of excruciating and debilitating back pain, I met Dr. Camilo who’s credentials, education and reviews are phenomenal and very impressive! I was expecting another Dr. that would tell me they could help me but really I received the same treatments from all of them until their masarati was paid for I guess. The final visit was “I’m afraid there’s nothing else I can do for you but I have a colleague that should be able to… and the treatments would begin: X-rays, MRI’s, steroid injections, P.T., speak with a psychologist and the ever popular “you NEED a spinal cord stimulator and or a pain pump, blah, blah, blah!!!! I had already had two stimulators and a pain pump. And then I found Dr. Molina and every aspect of my life changed. He reconstructed half of my spine and within 4 - 6 months I was SOOO much better! He is the most intelligent, kindest Dr. I have ever met and did NOT string me along for years. His experience, knowledge and success rating are phenomenal.

Fantastic Doctor - Highly recommend
In August 2023, I went to the ER for some pain and found out I had cancer. I was immediately sent to Boone Hospital in Columbia for further testing and a biopsy. It was confirmed during my week stay there that I had a Chordoma. Since a Chordoma is very rare, we were referred to Barnes Jewish with Dr. Molina that was willing to take this case on. We met with him in August 2023 to discuss next steps. After many tests, PET scan, etc. it was determined the best move was to do a tumor resection. I had a 2-day surgery in October 2023 in which the tumor was successfully resected. The surgery was over 20 hours total as they had to remove vertebrae and put a spinal cage in with a cadaver bone, etc.  After a long recovery and hospital stay, I “Walked” out of the hospital. Dr. Molina was there 100% during my recovery, answering many questions, gave my family full support and was fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for a better, more caring surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Molina!

Most arrogant doctor I have ever met. There was no communication between Molina and his PNPs. Molina mixed patient information with another patient. Do not recommend. Does not care about patient. On one occasion he was running 4 hours behind on appointments and rushed through appointment and didn’t listen. Changed doctors and have had exceptional care since.

T4 pelvis fusion for scoliosis of thoracolumbar
I was on the verge of not being able to walk. After my consultation with Dr. Molina in October, I knew he was the man to fix my problem. I had a full spinal fusion on February 5 and I am making a fantastic recovery. My surgery was almost 15 hours but I am straight. I’m walking with no pain. I expect to make a full recovery though I know it will take time, patience and hard work- 6 months to a year. I cannot praise Dr. Molina enough. His skill to make me better is such a gift. He’s tremendously caring. I wish I would’ve found him 2 years ago. A real plus for me was that I had no complications after the surgery. Dr. Molina and his team did a great job repairing my back with no spinal fluid leaks or any other problems. I highly recommend Dr. Molina.

The best of the best.
I came to Dr. Molina for a second opinion and a last hope for a remedy. Dr. Molina exceeded my expectations in every aspect. He grasped my medical issues immediately and proposed a plan of execution. The surgery went well and my rehabilitation is on a positive track. I see this young man that is not only gifted in skills and so very intelligent, but also a person that cares for his patients. Dr. Molina is truly an asset for Washington University.

Dr. Molina
After many years of disabling back pain and one back surgery, I finally found Dr. Molina. He was very honest about the pros and cons of this back surgery. I went back to see him two more times with more questions before I felt ready to have the surgery. In February, 2023, he and his team spent 11 hours operating on my back. Recovery has not been easy, but my whole experience was worth it. I no longer need a walker, and I am back to taking walks outside, which I had not done in several years. I don't have stooped posture anymore, and I can stand up straight. Dr. Molina answers any questions thoroughly and will spend as much time with you as you need. I am so grateful I found him.

a world class surgeon
Dr. Molina is truly a world class surgeon. I had a failed back surgery that left me with 14 years of disabling pain. Remediating failed back surgeries is a specialty of Dr. Molina's. I spent 24 years trying every treatment and therapy available before Dr. Molina did what i had come to think what might be impossible--completely relieved my pain and truly restored my life. We are so fortunate to have a neurosurgeon of this extraordinary skill and dedication in St. Louis!

Excellent Doctor and Surgeon
I came to Dr. Molina after a failed cervical laminoplasty which resulted in spinal stenosis and myelopathy. I had lost the ability to walk almost completely. I was nervous about going through another procedure, Dr. Molina performed a C4-C7 cervical discectomy and fusion and posterior C2-T4 fusion with a C3-C7 decompression. I am now two months postoperative and feel great. I have regained my ability to walk and my pain is gone. Dr. Molina gave me my life back. He is very thorough, detailed and straightforward with you. He spends as much time as needed with you and makes sure all of your questions are answered. His follow up appointments have been amazing as well. He is a surgeon who cares. I can't say enough wonderful things about him after the previous surgeon I had.

Spinal tumor resection
Dr Molina performed a spinal tumor resection for a schwannoma that was literally paralyzing me. It was located in my spinal canal. My experience was as good as it gets. I am now back to riding my bike and hiking. Thank you Dr. Molina for giving me my life back.

I recommend him
Have been having odd shoulder, neck, arm, hands, skull issues for awhile which went into extremes during a house move I made in July 2021. After much ado, finally got an MRI which showed severe stenosis in my neck and got referred to Dr. Molina. First of all I was shocked at how young he was, but secondly how personable and thorough he was despite his age. My symptoms are complicated and he took a really useful approach deciding he/I needed more info (besides the tests, MRI and XRay) so off to Physical Therapy then an EMG then Pain Management I went. Frankly, I hated every second of it, but he knew what he was doing. Lots of subsequent discovery with improvement and with an injection to neck scheduled vs any surgery. Meaning, Dr. Molina won't rush you into surgery if you don't need it and that, my friends, is exactly the kind of neurosurgeon we all need!! I recommend him. He's a breath of fresh air in this rarified system.
