Top-notch radiation expert!
I've been one of Dr. Correa's prostate radiation patients for almost 9 months. Initially when my wife and I were trying to made the best decision as to which avenue to pursue (radiation or surgery) she was VERY thorough regarding all our questions. She closed our session with a kindly comment to my wife, 'if he were MY husband, this approach we've been discussing is exactly what I'd do for him.' Both of us found that to be a real comfort. Dr. Correa kept up the thorough approach as I began radiation. After four weeks or so, I had fallen into a routine, so our appointments were much shorter. Even so, she was happy to answer my additional questions. One question was the length of my treatment; several of my friends had experienced similar radiation but different lengths, and she provided a clear explanation that helped me recognize she wasn't just applying a cookie-cutter approach. She is a top-notch doctor and radiation expert!

Carle needs to replace her with a decent human
The staff are all wonderful, but Dr Correa is just horrible. She doesn’t listen to patients, doesn’t care about her staff or patients, and is arrogant, rude, and flippant. She walks into scheduled appointments, smiles and says, “You’re doing fine”, answers no questions, and rarely even sits down. She spends less than 5 minutes per appointment. She also claims she’s booked solid with patients from 8am -5pm, but is frequently late getting to work. She even calls in sick at the last minute, leaving patients untreated and the staff in a bind.

My interaction w/Dr Correa is not favorable at all
I have chronic stage IV cancer and am palliative care, however, I currently have one stubborn spot in my soft tissue that occasionally requires electron beam radiation. I also rely heavily on alternative therapy, which I don’t believe she appreciated. In the past, and in a different state, I was able to have that area radiated every couple of years and it would resolve, so I have a lot of experience with the process. I understand how it was to be mapped and my sensation of the radiation laying prone on the couch. She gave me a lesser dose because she was concerned for my skin but yet never looked at my skin. (my skin is fine) I complained that the area was mapped improperly but she denied it and the beam was not directed to the area, so it did not respond as it had so now 3 months later, it's back. She now refuses to radiate it again saying I have reached my limit of joules. Dr. negated my entire history, my feelings of pain and my knowledge. Poor assessment skills. Disrespectful

Went for a consult with my husband who was 31 years old and just diagnosed with brain cancer. Dr Correa was awful. You’d think after our experience she had never worked with anyone who had cancer. She compared proton and photon radiation to chocolate and vanilla ice cream. She joked that if he chose photon he may just have trouble with addition in a few years. This was minutes after he told her he was an accountant. This was not funny to him at all. My husband asked her if she had looked at his MRI and if she could give specific reasons for her recommendation. She said she looks at these MRIs all day long and they’re basically all the same. To wrap it all up, when she was finished sharing whatever information she thought she was giving us she left the room. Because we still felt undecided and uninformed we continued to sit in the room not realizing the consult was over and she had left. Very long awkward walk when we realized her walking out was apparently our cue to leave. Sad.
