Dr. Caraleigh Buxie, MD

Dr. Buxie performed emergency surgery early one Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. She was calming but also had a sense of purpose that she needed to move quickly due to a blockage and 2 hernias. She did a wonderful job surgically and also taking good care of me as a patient. She is friendly and takes time to visit without rushing. She has a fabulous bedside manner which means so much. In the office, I find her staff to be friendly and helpful. She takes time to listen without rushing. I highly recommend her.

Was brought in through ER Dr. Buxie performed emergency Gallbladder surgery. She seemed very nice but was not very informative. Seemed like an assembly line type situation. Was not informed about additional issues to expect after the surgery. As soon as I woke up in recovery was literally told I was done, need to go and kicked out. When they called for my follow up first words were telling me I needed to bring the $150 for my copay or the wouldn’t see me. Developed an infection at three of the incision sites, had difficulty reaching anyone by phone, never was able to get ahold of or a call back from the nurse, was told could get an appointment to be seen again in two weeks. Very much an assembly line surgery center.

Dr. Buxie consulted with my husband and I at the hospital after he was brought in on an emergency basis. It was determined that he would have to have surgery. She spend a long time with us helping us determine which surgery would be the most beneficial explaining the different procedures in detail. She did an excellent job on the surgery and her bedside manners is the greatest.
