Great Surgeon
Visited Dr. Giordano due to sciatica issues and left foot drop he recommended surgery due to loss of mechanics and performed a Laminectomy which went well and did everything he stated that would happen. His staff was fantastic and professional.

Insurance Shill
Doctor completely disputed my treating physician AND the MRI report. Advised I “do push-ups” to get over two cited diagnosis of spinal stenosis. A complete sellout for the insurance company.

I had an emergency discectomy/laminectomy in 2009 and he did tell me I would eventually be back for additional surgery. He couldn’t do a fusion at the time due to the emergency nature of the surgery. Well, I am now ready for that follow up surgery and Dr. Giordano has been absolutely wonderful in explaining everything. I trust him with my life. He is no longer in my network but I am still going to go ahead with the fusion. This man is brilliant and has always been there for me. Highly recommend!

Dr. Giordano was my 2nd opinion for a work man's comp injury. He performed a laminectomy and fusion at L5-S1. As a nurse, I appreciate his knowledge and bedside manner. He explained everything to me and left the decision for surgery to me with plenty of time to think about it. He has a calming aura, and always relates back to EVIDENCE based practice. That's what you want in a surgeon. I'm very grateful to have found him (especially since the first workmans comp doctor I saw was a nightmare) The office staff is also friendly, which is a plus.

I came across Dr Giordano's reviews in a search for something else and was surprised to read "any" negative rating. It moved me to come out of the woodwork and tell everyone that I was a patient (approx) 15 years ago and my back is "Still GREAT". This Doctor has saved me!! Of coarse I listened to him. He told me (for my situation) if I repeatedly lift more than 30 pounds he would see me soon....but if I didn't he would never see me again...and here we are. I remember vividly he had Excellent Dr./patient manors and explained every last detail of the procedure and what to expect afterwards. He was right on the nose! Thanks Dr. Giordano!

This guy is in the insurance co pockets . I went in for a WC visit and his exam lasted all but 2 mins. NEVER reviewed the MRI results in front of me and when asked he said yeah I looked at them. Sure! Also, never touch my back, basically three steps on toes three steps on heels. After three visits ( which is the max WC pays him) he dismissed me. When I told him I was in pain with herniated disc and bulging disc he shrugged me off. He stinks as a dr.

When I made an appt for consult I was told it would be about $325. Maybe ‘little more’. I was charged over $500. Be careful with over the phone ‘quotes’.

In two different situations (two accidents) at work have the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Carl Giordano. In both situations I was loosing a lot of my movements and sensitivity in my body because both accidents was related to my back and neck. After the first experencie I was be able to go back to running (three times a week 3 miles a day). After second accident took me almost 4 years to get to the insurance send me back to Dr. Giordano. Feeling good and positive about the future.

Just had surgery 2 weeks ago. The doctor was a gentleman. Did great. Read the prior review and completely disagree. He went over everything with me. Before the surgery. Everyone in waiting room had good things to say.

Hip pain, he convinced me that fusion was the answer. Woke up with same exact pain that still plagues me. Needed a week of hospitalization, murky reasons. Excruciating pain afterwards that was pooh poohed until I literally screamed for it. Never heard from him, only staff, and boy, did they work hard. To collect the money!

After being injured in a serious car accident, I was sent by my insurance company to Dr. Giordano for an IME (Independent medical examination). Usually when one goes for an IME a patient is seen for under three minutes and no real examination is conducted. Dr. Giordano spent a GREAT deal of time with me and was probably more honest with me than any of the doctors I chose to meet with regarding neck and back surgery. He treats you like a human being while so many others are far too clinical.
