See Another Doctor
I saw Dr. Nordstrom after first moving to LA at the recommendation of another UCLA physician. I had a total of maybe 4-5 visits with Dr. Nordstrom all for the same issues - seemingly within the same month or at least 1 month apart. On my first visit, we discussed my previous visits with another GI Dr. - he said he would get those records. By my 5th and final visit, those records had still not been obtained and still weren't reviewed by Dr. Nordstrom and he did not offer to repeat any of the tests since he had zero information. I was in excruciating pain. Overall, Dr. Nordstrom came across as very new in his role. While he seemed nice and well intentioned, I felt that he did not listen to my concerns, seemed somewhat disinterested, or somewhat uncaring of my GI pain. And critically, that he did not care or desired to investigate the source of my GI pain. After all of these visits, I decided to see a new GI doctor at another practice whom I ended up really liking. Ended up in ER 2 times after I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. He completely neglected me and just simply did not care. Please don’t waste your time and find a doctor that will actually help you heal.

Make sure you show up on time and talk quickly!
Make sure to get there 30 min before your appt. Parking is very confusing. If you are 10 min late, the doctor won’t see you. When I suggested in the future they send ppl parking info - I was told they forgot to call. I was then told I could wait to see if he could spend 5 min. with me between appts. Horrendous care. I’d rather see a doctor that can thoughtfully take the time to care.

Please do not see him. I was at the emergency room 3 times and the negligence in his care was astounding that the hospital even didn’t want me to follow up with him because his lack of care led me into the emergency room 3 times. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. He does not care

Great bedside manner and knowledge. The only negative is that there was no hand sanitizer at reception, you have to go to bathroom.

I saw Dr. Nordstrom for first time and I was very impressed. I have seen many gastroenterologist for many years since I had ulcerative colitis for a couple decades. Dr. Nordstrom listened intently to my brief history of unusual health issues and my new symptoms. He assured me he didn't think my symptoms were serious. He did not schedule another colonoscopy. Instead he offered some over the counter remedies that might help calm my system and follow up in a couple months. I recommend him.

I am a 50 yo woman who has experienced some gastrointestinal issues over the past few years and was very nervous about seeing a Doctor. I was very impressed with the time that Dr. Nordstrom spent with me and the fact that he listened and answered my questions, making sure that I fully understood. I felt comfortable and at ease. His bedside manner is caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
