Hip-damaging orthotics
Dr. Wagreich diagnosed Morton's neuroma in my right foot. He described several treatments, including orthotics, which I elected. He molded a set of plaster casts for orthotics. After the orthotics came back and I had worn them for two weeks, I told him that the left one felt like it was causing my foot to lean slightly outward but he insisted that the prescription was correct. Over a period of about six months, I began to feel irritation in my left hip and it progressed to great pain. I reported this to him and he insisted the prescription was correct. I quit using the orthotics and the pain went away over a period of a few weeks and all feeling of irritation was gone after a year. He did not respond to a follow-up letter in which I explained the experience.
