My daughter was seen by this Dr. in Er. She had been having seizures and this morning she was having left sided weakness and her left side of mouth was drooping and speech was garbled. By the time she was seen in the ER she was more coherent and was able to talk. Still had weakness in left side. This Dr. told her she was faking it. When he was told by my son in law that she had experienced sexual trauma in the military he laughed and walked out. This further upset my daughter because she has ptsd from this issue. I am an RN and I called the ambulance. My daughter was not “faking”. I have seen stroke patients and when I saw her mouth droop and weakness in left side it scared me. So her tests came back normal but still has weakness in left side. This Dr. does not need to be taking care of patients. He is very unprofessional and shouldn’t have laughed at my daughter and called her a fake. I have 30 years experience as an RN and this physician needs to realize PTSD is a very real thing.
