Dr. Carlos Fonte, MD

Dr. Fonte was recommended by my friends and he is exactly what they told me to expect, knowledgeable. I like that he asked me to measure my blood-pressure for a month before he prescribed a medication to me and that he carefully picked medication for my cholesterol, which worked great. However I am highly allergic and the blood pressure medication he prescribed, gave me an instant rush on my neck line, which looked like a red necklace. I spoke with the nurse and asked for a new medication, after a significant 2 week delay she called me and said that he will not prescribe another medication and to keep taking this one. My pharmacy called me to check if the medication was working well on me. My neurologist said, I should not just avoid taking a medication so he referred me to another doctor who prescribed me a different medication that I have no allergies to. I wish I didn't have to change a good doctor over a prescription and that he actually cared to follow up but he never called.

Dr. Fonte heard what I said my about my Blood Pressure problems and then recommended new meds and tests. Would definitely recommend him to other friends.

Found a blockage in one of my arteries that my previous cardiologist didn't see. Got my medication correct and my blood pressure has been a stead 125/60 for a year. Very happy with him and his staff.

Dr Fonte has been providing care to me for almost 2 years. He performed two procedures to improve blood flow to my extremities. The procedures improved my quality of life significantly! He has always been extremely forthcoming in his explanations of conditions and treatments. His approach to medication and lifestyle have improved my health dramatically. He is your partner in health!

Best cardiologist in town

I have been seeing Dr. Fonte for several years. He and his team are professionals, and friendly. I appreciate both, as the team tells you exactly what is going to happen during any testing. I get prompt appointments, and rarely are delayed at any appointments.

I went to Dr. Fonte for a second opinion and have been with him since 2007. Trust him with my life, not only is he a great Doctor but a great caring person there’s no better..

Dr. Fonte has been our cardiologist (my husband and myself) for years. He always takes his time to listen, ask questions and his exam is always thorough. The doctor's staff is efficient, friendly and professional. We've always found Dr. Fonte to be extremely personable in addition to him being a terrific cardiologist. We trust this doctor with our lives.

Dr Fonte didn’t hesitate to come in after a major screw up by another Dr and saved my moms life. I’d say the first negative comment posted probably didn’t get told what they wanted to hear and thus blame him - especially considering all other reviews are extremely positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to put my life or that if my family members in his hands! Thank you Dr Fonte!

Dr. Carlos E. Fonte appears more interested in building his own financial empire rather than genuinely caring for patients. My first impression of Dr. Fonte was that of a qualified and amiable person. In my opinion, however, this doctor is arrogant and extremely overrated. After just a few moments of polite conversation on a recent visit, he actually abruptly walked out. It was quite baffling, and no explanation was given. I wasn't impressed by his staff, either. Also, I believe their attempts to overcharge me (on at least one occasion) are despicable. I certainly don't plan to return to Dr Fonte.

My family has been patients for years, and he is not only our doctor but a good friend. He is the most caring person I know.

Dr. Fonte is an excellent cardiologist. Taking care of my husband for about 15 yrs before his passing to due heart desease.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Fonte for about 5 years. He is very professional and will take the time to answer any and all questions you may have. The staff is great and if you have any concerns they will address them quickly!

He has been my heart Dr for years. He has the same staff. They are all quite knowledgeable in their fields. They take the scary out of going for some ncessary testing that is done in his office. I can't say enough good about Dr Fonte and his staff.

very attentive and take care of my husband heart problem. very professional and every time my husband is admitted to the hospital he comes and visit my husband. on time my husband had a very high blood pressure he is easy to be reach. the only complain i have is his staff in the desk it takes long time to answer and when they answer they put you on hold, until they forget and you call back again.

A previous reviewer described Dr. Fonte as the "most unprofessional doctor I have ever had the displeasure of encountering." He or she left out arrogant. Today, when I expressed concern over a finding on my EKG, Dr. Fonte, condescendingly quipped "Are you a cardiologist?" Nope, but I will be looking for another one after today's encounter.
