Unprofessional and Callous
Everything was ready to go and less than 24 hrs of scheduled surgery, I was called and told my surgery was 'cancelled' due to Dr. not feeling well. As a Nurse myself, I understand things happen and feeling sick is a valid reason to cancel. The issue is that I was not offered any approx. time to receive a call back with a reschedule date and time. The lady that called kept saying 'I don't know'. to all the reasonable questions I made to her, and my concern was the pre-op packet was only valid for 30days and emphasized it took work and money to complete and didn't want to have to do again. Next day I received a call and told that Dr. Gonzalez did not appreciate me 'berating' his staff and was referring me to another Dr. In other words, he fired me from his care. I have been in severe pain for months and can barely walk now, so I proceeded to call and see new Dr. he referred me to, paid another co-payment, only to be told, the Dr. didn't do hips like I needed and Dr. Gonzalez knew this!

Excellent and competent orthopedic surgeon!
The surgeries on both knees were very successful! Dr. Gonzales and his staff were very professional and competent. I would recommend Dr Gonzales for any one who is needing orthopedic surgeries that will help them return to a normal life style without pain. The physical therapy department was also very beneficial in reaching my goal. They are excellent and very professional. Thank you Dr Gonzales and Staff.

Dr. Gonzalez has a wonderful bedside manner. He's very patient, kind and understanding. He's an excellent surgeon and gives excellent follow up. It is convenient that he has physical therapists in office so he can see how you are progressing. I need to have an additional surgery and am happy that he will be doing it.

Well, My mother needed a total complicated Hip reconstruction. We understand the decision of surgeons of working or not working with patients that refuse blood transfusions. The only unacceptable reason we are giving 2 stars is because his verbal approach to explain my mother situation was very rude and used harshly words in spanish to explain the malpractice my mother received in Mexico on her hip 2 years ago. She had suffered and went through alot. Anyway, He was very crude and apathetic to explain her problem. Saying:"No Señora!! le hicieron una cochinada!" with a loud voice. He seemed streesed, and upset when he knew my mother was treated in mexico and worst when we disclosed we were Jehova's Witness and not accept blood transfusions. The only good thing was the referral to other surgeon. My mother survived without even using cell saver and just partial anesthecia.

I visited Dr. Gonzalez 12 Mar, Baker's Cyst behind knee I had replaced 4 months earlier. Several x-rays were taken, and doctor explained he would do a "Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty", told me to get surgical clearance and we'd set it up. I got necessary tests and turned in paperwork on 1 Apr. I called the office 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Today my call was returned and I was told, "doctor says you need to get the doctor who replaced your knee to do this surgery". I am very frustrated.

Dr Gonzalez and his staff are wonderful. I had a great experience with everyone I talked to, and felt listened to, cared about, and that they talked TO me rather than AT me, and Dr Gonzalez did not walk away until he knew I understood everything and answered all of my questions. They make sure you understand everything about your condition, and allow you to make your own decision. There is a genuine feeling that the staff is a team and works well together.
