Outstanding service. I had a shoulder that was pretty much destroyed from years of baseball as a player and coach. It was causing me daily issues and I hand to sleep in a lazy boy for over a year. Dr Houtz made it feel like new. I had very little pain after surgery and today it feels brand new.

DO NOT see this doctor! He doesn’t know how to treat a broken finger. Splinted it then sent me to PT when my finger was clearly crooked and not healed. After going to a specialist on my own, found out my finger was still dislocated and I should have had surgery immediately. I now have permanent damage as a result of his lack of knowledge in treatment or even suggestion of referral to a specialist. This doctor can’t even read an x-Ray. Whenever I questioned why my finger was crooked, he said it looked straight on x-Ray. I will NEVER go back to Highland Orthopaedic Clinic again, or recommend their doctors to anyone I know. And he has NO personality.

Total package of service. Rotator Cuff 1. Spent all the time with me to answer all of my questions. 2. Thorough explanation, description of the procedure. 3. The entire staff worked as a single unit. 4. Response time to any questions was the best. 5. Kept appointment times on time and not rushed during the appointments. 6. From start to finish Dr Houtz and his staff built more and more trust for me. 7. A fine surgeon that understands and demonstrates that the relationship between patient and doctor is the foundation that everything else is built upon.

Dr. Houtz is a very nice young man, but I would not consuder him again for surgery. I spoke to him for a diagnosis after an MRI, and he immediaty wanted to do surgery tge next Wednesday. I needed time to consider the situation, so I scheduled two weeks out. Nine months later, and three rounds of physical therapy, and I stiil have nerves dancing in my hands and between shoulders. I have no grip in that arm. He prescribed Percoset and was not available for consultation, did not return calls.
