Mohs surgery on chin
Dr Balding did a fantastic job of removing a squamous cancer cell from my chin and sewing it up. She was patient, kind and really seemed to care about me. And she even called me that night to see how I was doing. I highly recommend!

Excision of melanoma in situ
Very personable, patient, articulate. Explained the procedure well and performed the procedure without discomfort. Clear plan for wound care and follow-up. Received two follow-up calls from Dr.Balding to make sure that I was doing well post-procedure

Dr. Balding may be the very BEST...
Dr Balding and staff are extremely skillful and well organized. Gets her work completed with dispatch, but then, displays time to explain the activity, in non technical terms, with a gentleness that demonstrates compassion and it is very pleasant to be a part of her explanations . An after surgery call to ensure a patient is well, in his/her place, if he/she had left the operation concerned or was having difficulty with events.She is excellent in my view and has treated me with each new episode of skin cancer. May the next one be the last.If I was given the responsibilty to choose a skin Cancer Surgery Surgeon, for my favorite Daughter, or Mother, I would insist they see Dr. Balding. She may be the best. Someone has to be... :-)

A "no-big-deal" skin cancer (BCC) diagnosis had me in need of Moh's surgery on my nose. As it turns out, Dr. Balding was my surgeon. I feel like I won the lottery! Not only was she kind, caring, and compassionate, SHE. WAS. GOOD! My surgery turned out to be five hours and more of a "big-deal" than anyone thought. She had the perfect bedside manner and her suture work was incredible. A few weeks later my regular dermatologist did a punch biopsy on an atypical mole on my torso and the suture was poorly executed. These two events gave me an even deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship of Dr. Balding!!

I saw Dr Balding to have pilar cysts removed from my scalp. In total, it took about 3 hours of actual time with her. She was extremely efficient as a surgeon, did excellent stitches, and her bedside manner was very friendly and welcoming. She also personally called me at home at 9:30pm after the surgery. Highly recommend!! Probably the nicest doctor I've ever had.
