Dr. Carmen Ferreira, MD

I had the most disappointing and unprofessional experience with this provider. If you care about your child, I strongly recommend avoiding this office. Dr. Carmen Ferriera made me feel foolish for expressing concerns about my child's recurring headaches. She's arrogant and will look down on you. She also spoke poorly about my child's pediatrician, implying they didn’t know what they were doing, which I found highly unprofessional.I drove 40 minutes to this appointment, only to be told by Dr. Ferriera that this was “not a lot,” as they have patients who drive from Orlando. This dismissive attitude, combined with her lack of empathy, made an already stressful situation even worse.When I shared my concerns about my child's headaches, Dr. Ferriera's response—“What do you think, he has a tumor?” which was shockingly insensitive. DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE SO-CALLED doctor!

She was so unprofessional and rude, I came in with my daughter and she misdiagnosed her, she gave her way too many medications for a completely wrong thing. Absolutely insane. Do not go here. She is rude, so is the staff, just read the other reviews.

She is a very sickening woman. She was so disrespectful to me and my husband, when we were just concerned about my little 5 year old son. This lady doesn’t know a thing or two about respect. Unprofessional and unclassy. Crazy this is a “doctor”

Please, do a favor to your child and don’t schedule an appointment with her, it's a terrible provider. Check her reviews and see them.

My son was unfortunate enough to be recommended to Dr. F by his pediatrician who I adore and trust. Every visit in the past two years has been nothing but a headache. At my first couple of appts, she was with us for about 10 mins and when I expressed my concerns with my son she literally looked straight at the wall. I even brought my boyfriend and he admitted he saw her do the same thing. We were concerned that my son had both ADHD and Autism and she had it in her head that he only had ADHD and so she made sure of that on paper. Oh, and we have also told her my son had a stutter that she disagreed with and guess what. HE HAS A STUTTER! She also jumps straight into medicating your child. She refused to give me a referral for behavioral therapy. And the person that commented about needing to make an appt for everything is true. They literally want to bill your insurance for a simple referral which she won't give you anyway. Stay away from this woman!

Horrible

She was extremely rude and her "bedside manner" in nonexistent. Her entire practice is dysfunctional. They do not return phone calls, messages, emails... NOTHING. In order to get any sort of answer, you must go in to the office in person and demand attention. Making an appointment, following up on tests, refilling prescriptions - it's all close to impossible unless you have the privilege of time and the patience of all the saints to persist until someone picks up the ringing phone by accident. You better pray they can help you or its back to being on hold until you hang up or die.

Both of my son's are on the Autism Spectrum, I was referred to Dr. Carmen Ferreira. During our visit, she told me that one of the possible causes to their autism was due to mixed-race, since I am white and my wife is hispanic. After hearing this, I completely discredited anything else she had to say. I strongly suggest to AVOID this doctor.

My son suffers from migraines and misses a lot of school. We saw Dr. Ferreira herself for about 3 minutes. All the other times it's be a PA. They can't help my son and keep telling me to take him to the ER and bring him back in a month. They gave him a computer test for ADHD that says "not enough for diagnosis" on the printout, but they haven't done a full history. Not at all helpful. There were times I had to call and leave messages 3 days in a row before getting a response!

Dr. Ferreira not only has a horrible bedside manner, she does not treat her patients or their parents with any level of urgency at all. She seemed to be annoyed that I was questioning her and requesting certain tests that she did not feel necessary. She then did not send over the necessary authorizations to have such tests performed almost resulting in rescheduling a critically important imaging appointment. If you need someone to take your child's health seriously, don't go there.

Terrible bedside manner. Dr. Ferreira acted like we were waiting her time by being there. I would not recommend this Dr. To anyone.
