Dr. Carol Akerman, DPM

I was sent to Dr. Ackerman by the Veterans Administration who pays for my outside medical care since I am a disabled Vet. I got a bill in the mail today for $572.00. Obviously the office staff was so incompetent that they didn't bill community care. Dr. Ackerman was patient and thorough, its too bad her staff isn't that good.Because of the staff I will not go back and I do not recommend this office.

I have seen Dr. Ackerman for various foot Issues over the past five years. She is hands-down one of the best doctors I have ever seen, Not just Podiatrist. She listens, Answers my questions and never makes me feel rushed. I have seen her for breaks in my feet, big toe issues and plantar Fasciitis. I go in hobbling and come out with no pain and easily Able to function until my feet heal. I needed a shot in my heel this time for my plantar and was so concerned about the horror stories of how painful those shots can be. It was nothing like I had heard due to her injection procedure. I am very glad I found this practice. Dr Akerman deserves the 4.9-5.0 ratings from hundreds of patients. Office staff is very thorough and kind as is the nursing staff. I wish I didn’t have foot issues as they can be extremely painful but I’m thankful for this practice and Dr Akerman.

Very thorough assessment and recommendation for corrective action. She took time to listen and explain recommended action. Surgical procedure went well and is healing very well. I would highly recommend Dr. Ackerman. Staff was very helpful.

Wonderful experience! I was a new patient. When I called to make and appointment, the person who answered the phone made a great first impression. She was helpful, courteous & worked with me to be seen sooner than I expected. Dr. Akerman was professional, personable & knowledgeable. She and her nurse were thorough in answering all my questions and made me feel comfortable about my procedure. I will definitely be a repeat patient!

Previously, I posted a negative review with a 1 star rating because I thought I had been sent to collections, despite making regular payments. This was an error & misunderstanding. I spoke with a staff member about my account and all was cleared up. Unfortunately, I am unable to edit/reply/delete my previous review. My entire in-office experience was perfect and my problem was completely taken care of with no pain or after-care problems.

Have been come to see Dr.Akerman for over 3 years and love it. Injections not so much but staff as a whole is great.
