1000 is not enough. Mom has stage 4 cancer. Got surgery/chemo from another doctor and her numbers improved drastically. A mass was overlooked. Sought Dr. Brown for a second opinion. Kept us waiting three hours with no apology or explanation, and was even rude about it. Then she told us she didn't know what the mass was and when asked if she took it to a radiologist, she told us "she didn't need to." We waited three hours for an "I don't know and I refuse to investigate further." THEN she went on to say that the surgery we prepped for months for was not something she would have done, and her plan was basically "chemo and prayer". Our first doctor said that 4 was just a number, and they'd do everything they could to heal my mom. Dr. Brown took one look at my mom's records and made her feel like she wasn't worth the time or effort. She does a disservice to what's supposed to be the most renowned cancer treatment center in the world. She can't get away with making my mom cry.

Dr Brown is an amazing Surgeon and Doctor. She saved my life 19 years ago when I was diagnosed with something very rare and I continue to follow up with her yearly. She was always compassionate and caring along with the other doctors she works beside and I feel very Blessed that I found her when I did. And yes, the wait is long to see Dr Brown on an appointment normally but that is because she takes her time with new patients and emergencies and doesn’t rush them, that’s something I always try to remember, that I was the new patient at one time. For Dr Brown I would wait forever, because I know first hand she is the Best and her knowledge, experience and ability are invaluable.

My first visit i waited over 2 hours before my scheduled appointment. I did not mind as i knew i was seeing one of the best surgeons there is. That also tells me she does not rush through her patients. Small price to pay. She is an incredible surgeon and i have already recommended her to others. No regrets with this choice!

She was unapologetically several hours behind in her schedule. PA did most of work in visit. I found her to be dismissive of questions and arrogant, perhaps just a bad day as she was so behind on appointment times. Likely a talented surgeon but I'll be seeking a second opinion. Bedside manner needs significant improvement if she doesn't like your questions. Her nurse was mediocre. Patient navigator was excellent. I'm sure many love her Lots of other docs in Sloan available or similar facilities
