Very rushed appointment. This Dr. did not comprehend that I wanted a full explanation of a forthcoming Urogynecology procedure. So no back and forth discussion, no listening on her part, no explaining why, what, how of conditions. Just told me I was too old to have the procedure done by her at Scripps Surgery Ctr, so go Scripps Anderson Urology for injection. I did not feel informed or respected. I will seek a new urologist, somewhere else. Also, her 'Progress Notes' were pure fiction. I did not say what she claims I said, and she did discuss 'pads' constipation or 'current' UTI's situation. She has idea about my 'current' situation. I think she copied text from my previous appts. She did recommend med Gemtesa because the med I am currently taking will not be covered in 2025. BTW, my 2 previous appointments with her were also rushed, and again, I did not feel respected or that she cared about me at all. I was apprehensive about seeing her again, this time and again, it was a mistake.

Terrible doctor
This doctor could not find anything wrong with me. I was examined twice and by her and all she could come up with was that I was bleeding from my vagina. I have a hysterectomy! Found another doctor who found the problem and left the condescending attitude out. Run away from Dr Kashefi.

She killed me
"Dr." Kashefi missed high Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test results THREE TIMES. The first one should have been reason enough to order a prostate biopsy, but she neglected not only to do that, she neglected to tell me the results were high and what such results might mean. Thanks to her, I now have Stage IVb metastatic prostate cancer, and my odds for surviving another five years are approximately 30%. In short, she killed me in slow motion.

Dr, Kashefi's office shows little respect regarding the patients time. Ever changing Dr. schedule makes for patient scheduling a procedure (or life event) a nightmare. I had two previously scheduled specialists appointments bumped in order to accommodate the doctors schedule. Now the wait time for one of those cancelled is 3 months out. Very frustrating. Will not return to this Urologist.

Dr. Kashefi has been my urologist since she's been practising at Scripps. I met her when she was a resident at UCSD and she is the loveliest, most knowledgeable urologist I've ever seen. She will ease your fears and make you feel comfortable. We've now gone through several surgeries together and I have and will continue to recommend her to others I know with urological issues.

I wanted to take second and THANK YOU Dr. Kashefi for every you have done for me. I am sincerely grateful to you for it. I feel that you REALLY poured your mind, soul and your heart in trying to help me with my numerous issues over the years. I never had this kind of experience with any of the Scripps doctors over the years. I don’t think I could have asked for a better doctor. Thank you very much!

I saw Dr. Kashefi after my doctor said my PSA numbers went up. I arrived early for her appointment and her staff greeted me and after doing a small amount of paperwork, I was placed in a room right away. The staff made me feel secure. Dr. Kashefi came right in and examined me. She told me I might want to get a biopsy or wait and see if the PSA goes up. I elected for the biopsy and it was scheduled the next week. I learned I had cancer and she guided me in the right direction.

Horrible, I repeat HORRIBLE experience. If I could give less than one star I would. Awful staff at the Scripps hospital that were extraordinarily rude to us; not listening to us and not calling back after numerous messages. We had an urgent situation and tried to get a hold of Dr. Kashefi and were told that she could not speak to us and couldn't see us for a couple of days. We were passed along to multiple people none of whom were Dr. Kashefi. We are immediately switching Urologists.
