She literally asked me if my cat was likely to die soon. She was very dismissive of my concerns, and expressed that I didn't understand what a "commitment" allergy shots were, despite that fact that I had 7 years of allergy shots as a child, and remember that commitment. She also told me that rush immunotherapy (the rapid shots) wasn't a real thing that existed. I'm getting that treatment now elsewhere. I was so upset I didn't think to leave a review at the time, but a year later I still seethe when I think about my appointment with her.

Extremely rude and awful overall bedside manner, when I was told what the procedure she suggested was I had some questions, here response being “I don’t, I have never prescribed this before.” She legitimately talked down to me throughout the remainder of the conversation.

Dr. Saltoun was wonderful! I had a potential allergic reaction to my first dose of the Pfizer covid vaccine and ended up in the ER. Without Dr. Saltoun, I couldn't have received the second dose to be fully vaccinated. She helped me evaluate the potential risks vs benefits of getting the second dose, and encouraged me to ask any questions I had. Ultimately we mutually agreed it was worth the risk to get the second dose - it resonated with me when she said "we know how to treat a severe reaction to the vaccine well but we don't know how to treat a severe reaction to Covid well". Dr. Saltoun personally administered and watched over me for 2 hours in a special room at Northwestern Memorial downtown. She did a "split dose vaccine challenge" strategy, first administering 0.05mm of the typical 0.3mm Pfizer dose, waited 30 minutes to observe, then proceeded with the rest of the 0.3mm dose and observed me for over an hour.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Saltoun. It is obvious that she is very knowledgeable and seemed more than willing to work with me to figure out the source of the problems I've been having. She and her staff were very thorough and accommodating.

Within the first three minutes of my appointment Dr. Saltoun told me she couldn’t help me and munch symptoms were from my RA. Good thing I didn’t listen, I went on to be diagnosed with Acquired Angioedema. Left her office in tears...

I found Dr Saltoun to be dismissive and rude. I left her feeling disappointed and near tears. I have never been in the presence of such an uncaring and aloof physician.
