Excellent doctor
Dr Prete is an excellent doctor. She listens! She is very knowledgeable and thoroughly explains information so you understand what is going on. She is in high demand because she is trusted for medical advice and guidance for life saving accurate diagnoses and care that specialists miss. Because she is such an excellent doctor, new patients may have to wait over 6 months to see her - due to high demand - she is worth the wait (reason for the high demand to see her, which is understandable to her current patients). Most importantly she genuinely cares for her patients. I love her, she is literally the best physician at NorthShore.

Dr Prete is an excellent doctor and seems to be respected in her field by her colleagues and staff. She always takes time to listen to concerns and appears to stay very up to date on the latest information. She is a very busy doctor and not easy to see if you don’t make an appointment in advance. I feel she is worth it though.

Don't get scammed like I did. I bought into the good reviews online and, when I saw this doctor was accepting new patients, I selected her as my primary physician. Unfortunately, her rude staff, told me that I could schedule an appointment in 8 months (!). When I asked how it's possible for the office to take new patients and have >6 months waiting time, the assistant rudely answered that the doctor is very busy... also as new patient I could not get a referral over the phone.

I am a newer patient of Dr. Prete and I am so happy to get into her practice. She is very thorough and I truly love her attention to detail. She listens to me, I never feel rushed, and she follows up after the appointment via her staff and online. She is among the top doctors I have ever had over the past 40 years!

Dr. Prete has been my internist for over 25 years. She is kind, caring and takes time to listen and talk. She doesn't rush which makes me feel like my health and well-being are important to her. Dr. Prete has always been thorough when gathering the information she needs to understand and treat her patients' health holistically. On more than one occasion, she has spent extra time in her off hours to follow up with me. I am grateful for her intelligent and dedicated care.

After having seen this doctor five times in six years, Dr. Prete is very good at providing just enough information to leave it as skinny, would not want to leave you too informed. Good enough if you are not really sick. Cool bed side manner, probably very over worked so cannot be involved. Competent but always working for her corporate boss Northshore Healthcare. My recommendation is she's ok not terrific competent but no genius. She is a very nice woman dresses up well. Seems thoughtful.

Dr. Prete is, quite simply, the best primary care physician I have ever had. She has an amazing quality of making the patient feel that she has all the time in the world for that patient. In the 10+ years I have been Dr. Prete's patient, I have never felt rushed. She has a very calm presence. It takes a long time to get a first appointment with her, and I have waited up to an hour for an appointment, but these issues are trivial to me in comparison to the very high medical care she provides.
