Not good … she was rushed with me and when I asked about nodules on my head she said they were benign, “if you want we (she and the student) could zap them off!” I would never go back to Dr. Mann. She was not interested in me… standoffish personality.

Dermatology
Her tone of voice and the way she speaks to people is super disrespectful. The total visit was 7 minutes and this was the first time I have been seen by her. She barely took the time to know my medical history and condition. I asked about a medication and she said oh ok yeah lets try that. I asked about how often I should take it and she said it was up to me. She is the doctor, you tell me! Two weeks later and now I am still waiting on the Prior authorization on a medication. The nurses are rude too. I messaged via mychart and they say, 'its your insurance, call them!'. So I did, and they said they are waiting on Dr mann and her staff to send over the PA form. They finally did respond and said give us 24 business hours. That was thursday, it is now wednesday and no word or answer via mychart. I called the front desk and they said they would tell the nurse staff and get ahold of me. That hasn't happened either. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Not impressed
My visit was very rushed and impersonal. I was unable to address all my concerns and was rushed out of the office. It is very clear that she does not value patients’ time by the fact she only sees patients for ONE HOUR A DAY (from 7-8 am) four days a week and has a student do the majority of the exam and patient interaction. This extreme lack of availability leaves patients waiting months to get in just to end up seeing her student. When you do get an appointment you have to battle peak rush hour traffic (especially if coming from IL) since you can’t get an appointment after 8 am. I cannot say I would recommend this doctor to anyone that values a thorough examination and adequate care that can be accessed in a timely and mutually acceptable manner.

Time Waster; inconsistent
Last year I had an infected cystThat was becoming abscessed. I was in an extreme amount of pain and had no idea what to do. I couldn’t get an appointment but the office told me to send pictures. I asked multiple times if I needed to go to urgent care…no response. Finally I went to urgent care and found out that my infected cyst was abscessing and could lead to sepsis. Basically Dr. Mann’s office left me to horrible consequences with no advice. I got it drained on the spot and later got surgery to remove the cyst. Today, I had a red spot on my nose and was told to come in after asking for advice via MyChart. This “dr” was dismissive and asked why did I come in and recommended me a cosmetic dermatologist. She could have told me this via MyChart instead of wasting my time. When I had a medical emergency she left me to fend for myself so she could have given me this advice via MyChart. Wasted my time, now seeking a black dermatologist. One that won’t leave me with potential sepsis

Dismissive, not attentive
Rushed, quickly listed options for spot I was concerned about (cream, laser) then as an aside said if you want, we could do a biopsy. Shouldn’t the doctor be advising me if a biopsy is needed, not casually mentioning it as an aside.? I went to another dermatologist, they did a biopsy and the spot is cancerous.

She doesn't care unless you have cancer
The best thing Dr. Mann did for me was make me wait over a year to get a cyst removed (that she barely looked at), then when the time comes she cancelled my appointment, made me wait 6 more months just to refer me to a different dermatologist (I guess sh3 had better things to do). The other dermatologist was amazing, got it removed on the first visit, and stitched me up so well you can barely tell I had anything done. So I give a special shout out to Dr. Stratton.

Avoid at all costs
Dr. Caroline Mann is THE WORST doctor I have ever visited. Rushed, dismissive, and rude. Clearly does not care about people as people. If there was an option for zero stars I would choose it. Avoid at all costs.

Cancellation of appointment
When my current dermatologist left the Wash U practice, I opted to continue my association with another member of her group--Dr. Mann. I scheduled an appointment for the appropriate time frame, but the appointment was abruptly canceled (no explanation) and there was no opening for some number of months. I wrote a letter expressing my concern, and I never received a reply. After waiting several week, I thought that it was important that prospective (and even current) patients be aware of such a lack of concern for patients by the office staff, if not by Dr. Mann herself.

No and I would not recommend the entire office.
My initial visit was not impressed. I have a history of skin cancer and everything I asked about the doctor told me to ignore it. She said it all comes with getting old. I wanted to tell her that cancer comes with old age too! She rushed through my body check. Two weeks later I found an area on my head that she must have missed. I called the office in a panic and I thought they told me to come in on the following Wednesday. My error I showed up a week early but they couldn't find time for anyone to see me since I was already there and truly concerned . I will not be returning to this practice.

Dr. Mann- The McDonald’s drive-thru dermatologist. They rush you in, tell you to strip to your underwear and don’t touch anything in the room, Dr. Mann and her resident come in and stand about 5 feet away while they ask you to slowly spin in a circle. Questions? Concerns? Don’t mention them because they couldn’t care less about your problems! Your appointment is done! Too bad they missed the melanoma on your face! Maybe sue for malpractice? My family is looking into it. This is not where you want to go to receive a thorough skin assessment but if you want to be creeped out by everyone in the hallways stopping to stare at you after your criminally negligent and incomplete 45 second dermatologist appointment, then this is the place for you.

Dr. Mann and her resident saw me for all of five minutes, talking over and interrupting me the entire time. I have a chronic autoimmune condition as well as acne, & was only there for help with the acne, but they didn't seem to understand that the autoimmune condition I've had for 18 years is neither treatable nor the purpose of my visit. When I was finally able to redirect the conversation, which was incredibly one-sided on their part, they pushed Accutane fairly aggressively without an exam, a review of my current medications (one of which interacts with Accutane and means I can't take it), or any evaluation of my interest in the product. I said I didn't want Accutane and asked for any alternative, and she said that Accutane would "cure me in 6 months for sure" - when is it ever appropriate to guarantee the efficacy of a treatment, especially in a first time patient whose history you didn't bother to ask? I have many Drs. and am used to ego but I won't ever go back to this provider.

I wish I had read these reviews before waiting 2 months to see Dr Mann. Just like the others, I got about 30 seconds of her time and her skin check consisted of her skimming my body with the naked eye saying things like “looooots of moles” and “why would you not wear sunscreen - it’s so easy”. There was no patient education or health teaching. She was, however, kind enough to ask if I had a lazy eye or if I was just really tired before leaving the room. Just incredibly unprofessional and no bedside manner whatsoever. I will not be returning and I definitely would not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Mann has been doing yearly skin assessments for 15 years. I can’t say enough good things about her! She’s professional, timely and thorough. Her care is exceptional. She’s very matter-of-fact and honest. I’m getting older (60) and asked her about certain skin treatments that friends are starting to do. She’s not one of those dermatologists who takes you down a rabbit hole of expensive treatments unless they’re beneficial. I have recommended her to several friends. She’s the best.

Dr Mann rushes me through every time. The residents she uses spend more time looking at my skin. She missed a Basal cell carcinoma on my face when I had just been in for a biopsy on a different spot on my face. She did not help me prepare for the Mohs surgery at all. It was very traumatic. When I asked her about a 3rd lesion near my eye, she refused to do anything about it. My Mohs surgeon removed it. It was found to be pre-cancerous.
