In the wrong field
She replaced my prior doctor. She spent maybe 90 seconds with me. Asked one question and then denied a prescription I've had in place for 20 years. Didn't ask any questions or get to know me as a patient. I'm sure she knows her stuff but she shouldn't be dealing with patients as she has zero bedside manner and comes off as not caring.

Attitude
She was nice to me when I had no medical issues. However, I had an issue during the pandemic and she dismissed me. She said, "People are dying and I'm not worried about your ____." This attitude caused me a lot of shame and I delayed seeking help because of it. I saw another doctor and got diagnosed properly.

Dr. Sigman has the bedside manner of a wrecking ball. Don't be misled by the hundreds (literally) of 5 star reviews on the Piedmont Hospital website. No doctor gets ratings like that so you know they're faked. I saw her once and know first-hand that her first priority is staying on schedule. A new patient appointment is 30 minutes and she will cut you off mid-sentence if necessary). Her policy: if you're late for an appointment more than one time, she will not see you again regardless of the reason. (Read the review found elsewhere on this site from a long-time female patient who had this experience.)

I would never recommend this Doctor to anyone. She has not only dismissed my concerns, but has refused to treat me when I have had issues going on. This has happened on several occasions. I had double pink eye and scheduled an appointment to be seen with her. She refused to see me and said I needed to see an ophthalmologist. Then she misdiagnosed me with late onset asthma and prescribed an inhaler for said asthma. I don’t have asthma. Following that visit, I needed help with a UTI which she responded to my concerns that I didn’t have one because my urine she had checked 3 days before was clear. I ended up having to go to an urgent care to get treated. Where I was diagnosed and treated for my UTI. Her lack of care and beside manner is appalling. She doesn’t listen to your concerns or treat you when necessary.

Reckless pill pusher who prescribes medication she doesn't fully understand the consequences of. Be warned if she prescribes heavy medication - do your research online before you put it in your mouth! She has ruined lives haphazardly giving out prescriptions like candy!

Please avoid this doctor. Visited this doctor to inquire about a lump in my armpit. She felt it and said that it was nothing to worry about it. The entire visit lasted around 3 minutes. Upon the end of the visit I inquired about the amount I owed and was told that I did not owe anything, but got a call 6 months later that I was billed at 450+$. For what? Been trying to get the issue resolved since then. Visited multiple doctors and never have been through such an issue. What a ripoff

Unfortunately Dr Sigman's bedside manner is brusque and uncaring. She doesnt respond to her patients needs or show any concern for someone who is struggling with health issues. If a patient becomes more complicated than she has time for or interest in, she cuts them off unceremoniously. Seek healthcare elsewhere.

Dr. Sigman is an internal medicine specialist and my first appointment with her was this morning. She is professional and very nice! She took her time to review my chart before the appointment and got familiar with my medical history. She listened and addressed my questions. I's strongly recommend her to my family and friends.
