MD in a rush, seemed preoccupied as she was running a hour late. Felt that she couldn’t get out of the room fast enough - our visit was 5 minutes. No opportunity to ask questions, when we asked the medical assistant to have her return to room, MD decline. Felt dismissed. Managed to get a referral and a need CT scan order. Unlikely that family member will return to this practice.

I have been going to Dr. Fitzgerald for almost two years now. I find her to be an extremely caring person. She is an amazing Dr, would highly recommend her.

I had a catheter put in place & was told to follow up with a urologist. I scheduled an appointment with Dr Burzon & instead of Dr Burzon, I was greeted by Dr Fitzgerald. During the appointment Dr Fitzgerald gave me some basic information & said I needed to schedule a follow up visit. I had many questions & Dr Fitzgerald answered them but she seemed impatient & to some extent annoyed by my questions. I was later prescribed medication & blatter tests. The pharmacist informed me the prescribed med conflicted with a med I was already taking. I setup to meet the Dr again to discuss an alternative & was again met by a nurse. The nurse didn't really know why I was there & said she would discuss the med issue with Dr. Fitz. I then returned for the blatter test & failed. I was scheduled for another in 30 days but no further meds were prescribed. In short in 5 visits for tests & catheter changes I only saw Dr Fitz once & I was not treated for my condition. It appears they only want your money.

Carrie Fitzgerald has been my urologist since I moved to Kauai in 2017. I am grateful for her care. As a physician Dr. Fitzgerald is consistently thoughtful and thorough. As a scientist she keeps herself and her patients informed about the latest pertinent research and treatment protocols. My experience with Dr. Fitzgerald gives me complete confidence in her expertise and her commitment to my health and well-being.

Multiple visits. Exceptionally personable. Patient wellness is a priority. She is personable, takes time to communicate, and knows her patients. I've been a patient of Dr. Fitzgerald for five plus years now, and it's been a great experience. She's by far my favorite doctor on Kauai. She's very professional, caring and thorough with everything. I've had a lot of problems with kidney stones the past few years and she's been there helping me the whole way through. I've had 3 successful operations done by Dr. Fitzgerald. One of which was an emergency operation involving kidney failure because of a huge kidney stone obstruction. I was scared, in a lot of pain, and fearful that I would lose the function of my kidneys. Dr. Fitzgerald came to the hospital as quick as she could where I met with her for the first time. She was very compassionate and reassuring. Right away I felt better and lot more calm. She was able to answer all my questions and concerns. The operation was a success and I regained my kidney functions. I'm so thankful for her more than she'll ever know. She's awesome, thank you for everything Dr. Fitzgerald!

Dr. Fitzgerald has been helping me for the past 3+ years. I have recurrent bladder cancer concerns after having successfully dealt with prostate cancer and its complications. Dr. Fitzgerald is consistently thorough in exams, clear in explanations of procedures and treatments, and patient as I deal with concerns about side-effects and new routines. She does NOT suffer from the typical arrogance often seen in specialists and is always calm and sympathetic, no matter how busy and stressed. I am grateful!

Dr. Fitzgerald has been a life saver for me on a few occasions. Always making time to listen to what I needed and acting in a timely manner.

She was dismissive and impatient. Prescribed very expensive medication as a trial and was rude to me. She suggested that I insert dry tampons to see if that helped. I’m menopausal and have a hysterectomy from fibroids and have dry tissues. She suggested inserting dry tampons help judge my incontinence that she would know more about what would help me. I questioned how a dry tampon would help judge my stress incontinance. She was not at all reassuring, supportive or caring. No follow up at all. Left me unconfident to pursue fixing my problem and I’m stuck wearing pads every single day. She has been the only doctor in the entire Hawaii Health Care system to leave me feeling hopeless. Everyone else I have seen for other issues has been wonderful, helpful and patient.
