I am very thankful that Dr. Moatz was able to diagnose the reason behind my shoulder pain and the surgery he did on my right shoulder to help fix the problem. I have a long recovery ahead, but I grateful that Dr. Moatz made it possible for me to be able to be on this path to recovery.

Had a knee injury that I feared to be catastrophic and Dr. Motz and his team went above and beyond in accommodating a rush schedule and diagnosing what the injury actually was. They put together a plan that we all agreed on and surgery went great. Better yet, recovery is going better than planned and looking forward to being 100%. Great Orthopedic Surgeon with a really amazing team.

Dr. Motz reviewed my MRI and was upfront with me and said my injury could not be repaired but suggested that cleaning it by doing arthroscopy might relieve some or all of the pain that I was experiencing. I liked his honesty and his plan to relieve my pain. Surgery went well and I’m a week out now and the pain that I previously had is gone, only surgical pain now. I am very pleased!

I wish I could give negative stars! I wasted my time and money on an appointment with Dr. Motz, and now I have to switch to a different practice. I spoke with Dr. Motz assistant, Amelia, prior to making the appointment to establish care to get a gel shot. Amelia told me that Dr. Motz does the injections, but she DID NOT tell me that he refuses to use insurance for injections. During my appointment Dr. Motz told me he and hisstaff don't have time to deal with insurance companies on injections, but he will do it for $600.00, which will save me money. That is ridiculous! I have been getting the gel shots for years, I have great insurance, it has never been an issue getting the shots approved, and my co-pay is $25.00. Dr. Motz was very rude, and he said he would have one of the other doctors handle my care because they don't mind having their staff waste their time dealing with insurance companies. Horrible medical care and customer service!!!

I am certain that Dr Motz is an excellent doctor in his field since he does practice with Orthopedic centers of Colorado, however my experience was more than disappointing . I think when the doctor finally came in after X-rays were taken and more than half an hour after my appointment time, he was with me less than 5 minutes . Felt my knee, told me I have arthritis and to make an appointment with another doctor in the practice. I informed him that it hurt terribly bad to walk or stand and I could barely bend it but he dismissed me as quickly as he could not even offering any suggestions to ease the pain until I could see the other doctor. I felt very my issues were quickly dismissed and that perhaps having just arthritis was a negative thing and a waste of his time. I actually left feeling embarrassed and low for coming to him with 'just ' arthritis. Perhaps he was having an off day or something but I'm hopeful the next doctor will attempt to care.

I was in severe shoulder pain. Found Dr Motz as shoulder specialist online. Got appointment in 2 days. He had X-ray done in office and gave me shots. I now have no pain. His knowledge and entire manner is first class

I’m so happy Dr Motz was my surgeon. He explained everything well during my appointments and prior to the surgery. My knee is much better now. Back to climbing mountains! Thanks Dr Motz.

Upon injuring my knee, I was able to get in to meet with Dr. Motz within days; had an MRI 2 days later; and ultimately surgery all within 3 weeks. He has a caring and straightforward manner, takes the time to address all questions and concerns. He is honest in his assessment of the injury and repair, setting the appropriate expectation for the outcome. I feel fortunate to have landed in his expert care following my unexpected injury.

Dr. Cary Motz understands the needs of a diverse population such as kids, athletes and older patients, and will tell you if surgery may not be in your best interest. Having said that, if you decide to proceed with surgery, he is a very skilled surgeon.

Dr. Motz is fabulous. He took his time with me and answered my questions. He also made fabulous recommendations to help with my health problem.

Injection to help knee that is bone on bone due to arthritis. Dr. Motz and staff provided excellent care. Thanks to him I will be able to continue walking which I enjoy.

In 2022 I went to see Dr. Cary Motz regarding my right shoulder. After an examination, x-ray and MRI he was able to assess the problem and relieve the pain with a steroid injection. When I started having pain in my left shoulder in 2023, I made an appointment with Dr. Cary Motz again. He remembered me from last year and quickly evaluated the issue, did an ultrasound in the examination room, and gave me a steroid injection during the same appointment. Dr. Motz took the time to listen to my concerns, diagnose my condition, and relieve the pain within minutes. I would highly recommend Dr. Cary Motz.

The wait in the exam room was a little long, but the Dr. & his Assistant were great! Dr. Moetz went over both my shoulder my MRI's discussed options. We agreed on the steroid shots, which the Dr. administered himself (with the aid of a ultrasound machine). It was a little painful, but actually I expected worse, so I guess the Dr. has a gentle touch! I woke up this morning with not as much pain as before, & the Dr. said it will probably take 3-4 weeks to fully work!

Always attentively listens and explains things so you or anyone can understand. The staff and Dr Motz are always hospitable. They all go beyond what is expected.
