Dr. Cassandra Onofrey, MD

Dr Onofrey was exceptionally exact and careful and thorough when explaining the procedure for drooping eyelids and removal of bags under the eyes. She made everything extremely simple to comprehend and took every possible question we had. Her explanation of pre-and post surgery expectations were also very clear and thorough. One of the highlights of my experience, which was excellent, was that she asked for pictures each day of my eyes, she texted me with comments and suggestions, and called me in the evening to check on me. She was so assuring and so thorough and kind, that I felt like she was holding my hand throughout the whole first week after the surgery. When I visited her post surgery, again, her professionalism as well as warmth and bedside manner was outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Onofrey to anyone thinking about eyelid surgery. She would easily get a five out of five star review.

I was scared to remove a couple of cysts from my eyelids, one of the cysts was close to my tear duct. I researched doctors and found doctor Cassandra, I had to leave Broward County to see her. I am glad she did my surgery I had a good outcome after surgery. The doctor called me twice to check on me. Thank you doctor Cassandra. I would recommend her to anyone that needs to remove cyst from their eyes.

Terrible experience!Recommend to see this doctor for droopy eyelid. First did a virtual visit and paid copay. Went in person and paid another copay. All of this to be told not a candidate too young. I think you can tell from virtual that I was too young so scammed me out of two copay’s. Receive a bill in the mail a month later trying to charge me for photos they took of eyelid. First they should disclose extra costs. I called to ask about bill. A gentleman in the billing department said “I am going to write the bill off but you are not welcome in this office anymore.” Can’t even believe how rude. If you’re young with droopy eyes unless your eye lids are covering your pupil don’t come here. They are just trying to bill your insurance!!

This was my thought, too. I didn't do the surgery she was so insistent on doing. When I read this, I knew I was right about her attitude and hunger to get my insurance money. When I called for an appointment, I was told to fill out forms...It took 2 days to be able to find a way to open portal...had to get permission from office after they had told me to do this....then filled out the forms and they would not submit. I called and was told they had to have these forms and copies of insurance cards or they would not make appointment. I was told they needed this in order to have zoom meeting with me to see if I REALLY needed an appointmnt....I told them it was impossible for me to do any of this and would not like to make an appoinment. Front desk couldn't have cared less. forget this...I needed a PHD to make it. No thanks!!! Don't know how she gets new patients.

The representative for insurance at the West Palm office, Pablo, is very unprofessional and rude and the lady at the desk always has an attitude. Dr. Onofrey is kind and has good intentions, but I still have issues on my eyes so her methods do not work.

My experience was excellent, I had droopy eyelids and was afraid to go to just anyone. I doing Doctor Onofrey as a referral from my regular optometrist and she cosemrticly corrected my lids.She additionally Botox on my brows in the office, and I have been more than pleased with my results. She is definitely somone I would recommend.
