An old patient
Dr. Hagerty was my first neurologist from many years ago in Maryland. I am now 69, soon to be 70. I saw Dr. Hagerty in my late twenties. There were not any real treatments for chronic migraines back then. Her compassion and care got me through some very rough times while I worked and raised my young children. I came across an old card with her name on it and wanted to reach out to wish her well and to tell her thank you. Mary Murphy

I have been seeing Dr. Hagerty for many years. She takes time with each patient, so sometimes there’s a little wait, but I don’t mind because when she comes in, she listens to all my concerns and genuinely cares. I’d recommend Dr. Hagerty to anyone needing a compassionate and dedicated neurologist.

I was uncomfortable with Dr. Hagerty from the moment she walked in. She acted exasperated and impatient. I tried to be patient but when she kept repeating questions and asked bizarre questions about my existing conditions I had to leave. I have never abandoned a medical appointment prior to this. My husband was with me and he was as appalled by her behavior and demeanor as I was.

Dr. Hagerty was very thorough in her exam at the first appointment however i waited an hour PAST my scheduled appointment which was scheduled over 6 weeks ago. I understand things happen but no explanation was given as to why it took so long for my scheduled appointment. I will see how things run with my next appointment before I request another referral from my PCM for another neurologist. Yesterday's visit with this office was COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY as far as the wait time.

Dr. Hagerty is a very caring, experienced and well-educated specialist. Her knowledge and intelligence combine to make her well-rounded in the area of Neurology. She values the well-being of her patients and her caring attitude is a rare gift, in the day and age we live now. She is not callused and seems to find each new patient and each new set of symptoms a challenge. I highly recommended her as an excellent Neurologist in the New Bern area.
