Dr. Catherine Lawson, MD

I am surprised by the negative reviews here. In my experience, Dr. Lawson is an excellent doctor. She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly advocates for her patients’ well-being. She helped me immeasurably with a very complex medical issue that other doctors had missed. While her practice is busy and she sees many patients, she always takes the time to follow through and provide quality care. I highly recommend her.

I met with Dr. Lawson for the first time as a new patient. She was very dismissive, insensitive, and condescending. In all my years of seeing doctors, I’ve never met a doctor so blatantly rude, abrasive, and unprofessional. I will not be returning.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Lawson. I've only seen her twice and today will be the last time. She was very dismissive and rude during my appointment. After being in the room with me for less than 5 minutes she got angry at me for bringing up a second concern that I had and stated that she only has a limited amount of time. I understand that doctors only have a limited amount of time. She could have said it in a respectful manner instead of snapping at me like I was a child. I felt so disrespected and am shocked at how she treats her patients.

During my very first and only appointment with Dr. Lawson, she was very rude, disruptive and dismissed everything I was telling her. She literally walked out of the room while I was talking. She's a Narcissist, only talked about herself, was not interested in anything I had to say. Her staff appears to be scared of her. I needed a referral for an Orthopedic surgeon and she stated "I'll give you the referral but he won't be able to help you" what does she know, she's not a surgeon? Long story short, I saw the surgeon and need surgery, I'm scheduled in 3 weeks! I have never ever encountered such a rude doctor in my life. Don't waste your time like I did.

Needed to get in for a pre-op appointment for a broken in half patella that needs immediate surgery, & the receptionist wouldn’t even try to fit me in. Now looking for another primary doctor.

Her unwillingness to listen and help, was astonishing. After a very short 10 minute visit, she pretty much said she was unable to help us and that was it. We should have known she wasn't interested in treating patients when we received no confirmation call from her office, and when we contacted them, we received nothing but attitude from Leslie (reception?) We waited such a long time for this appointment, and left disappointed. She needs to be more aware of how her dismissive attitude affects her patients.

She went over my health record in great detail. After sharing some symptoms, she recommended further testing which led to a serious diagnosis that prior Dr's did not diagnose. Bedside manner is excellent. I highly recommend her.

She took my concerns seriously, offered a great deal if knowledge and help, performed all needed tests. She is very personable and thirough.

Dr. Lawson is the most arrogant Doctor I have ever visited. Her attitude towards the patient, her Medical peers and that only her opinion counts, hints to me she has a Narcissistic personality. She wouldn't accept any medical records from my previous Doctors. Gave me a diagnosis of my symptoms with limited testing. Another tell-tale sign of her personality, is the way the staff reacts around her give the appearance they are intimidated by her. I would never recommend Dr. Lawson to anyone.

I am upgrading my review from a 2 to a 4 because Dr. Lawson has an excellent office staff. I did tell them I was changing Doctors before they put a referral in for me to see a gastrointerioligist after I told them I was not coming back-but they followed up on lab work and mailed results to me. The office staff is excellent. Unfortunately Dr. Lawson and I did not connect as mentioned in my previous review.

I have been a patient for 15 years and never felt rushed. Her office always returned my phone calls. My health has improved with her guidance and care.

I think she is very good, she does listen to you and when you call her office they answer and I never have to wait to make an appointment. If I need to see her the same day, they make it happen. I think she is very caring and Kind.

She Is rushed and doesn't take time to listen to you or let you talk an ask questions.She is in and out of the room several times and your saying but wait a minute. Very frustrating . After a year I gave up and changed Dr.s. The staff never calls you back after you leave many message. You never get to talk to anyone when call it goes to message machine. One I had to call the office next door for them to ask them to call me. Another time I had to drive to their office to make an appointment !!!!!
