Now at Erlanger
Dr. Martinez is now with Erlanger. Her previous low reviews were because of the staff at Memorial. Over the past 10 years I have seen 2 other Pulmonologist. The first one fired me as a patient because of his arrogance. The second one is leaving Chattanooga. My first visit with Dr. Martinez was last week. I was very impressed at the strength of her knowledge, caring and bed side manner. I wish I had found her 10 years ago. She discussed several different treatment paths we could take for my COPD that neither of my previous doctors had ever mentioned. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for the best.

Pays to get a 2nd opinion.
if you have something wrong out of the ordinary, Don't expect her to solve it. I had histoplasmosis and she did not even diagnose it. I was under her care for over a year.

After being a patient for 18 months for my yearly visit I was told the only appointments for overs 6 months out was 8 AM or 3:45 PM neither which I can do. I live 1 hour away and have an elderly husband which has to have medications with supervision at 8 AM and I have chronic health conditions which cause me to be unable to have a late day appointment.

I actually never had a visit referral was sent by my pcp at my request for pet positive lung cancer 3.7 cm mass records were sent . 2 days past I had not heard anything called the office spoke with Frankie. she said " yes we have your referral but we are seeing patients and I have not gotten it to the Doctors desk well I thought this would be fine if it were copd or asthma but lung cancer positive pet was a little bit like she didn't give a damn. I dont even know if Dr. Martinez even knows about it. But no will not be referring any cancer patients to this office

Dr. Martinez is a great doctor, but I do not think she is aware that her staff is not doing their jobs and are very dishonest with the patient in regards to processing and sending needed documents for items need from Medicare. I rated the above because of her staff.
