Dr. Cathryn Hassett, MD

For the past three years I've had a variety of gastro issues, food intolerance, heart racing after eating, skin rashes, headaches, joint pains. After a myriad of testing with the different specialists and ruling out anything serious, I visited Dr Hassett for a food and environmental allergy test. As a child, I had allergies and asthma, so these were logical tests. She ordered the environmental test, but refused the food test! I pleaded with her and offered to pay out of pocket but she wouldn't budge. She said food allergies would not cause any gastrointestinal issues and she didn't believe I had hives because they don't last more than a few hours and my rashes would come and go. I don't understand her motivation for denying the test after I offered to pay, but she certainly doesn't care about her patient's physical health or well being.

Was leaving to go out of town and needed my symbicort inhaler refilled which I have been taking for years. After a couple of trips to pharmacy they informed me that they had to contact dr hassett for a refill. They never got a response from her office. I called on a Thursday and her office informed me they will make my request for a refill urgent. Still nothing at pharmacy. I called Friday morning still nothing. Called Friday evening and pleaded with her office to refill my prescription because I was leaving Sunday to go out of town. They said they couldn’t because it has been 2 years since my last visit. After pleading with the nurse that I needed it to breath the nurse got rude and said I was irresponsible for going 2 years with out an appointment. I had to go to urgent care and have them fill my prescription. I would never go there again after this experience and will not recommend them. They cut off my essential medication without notice

Was referred to her. Scheduled me for an blood allergy test that I learned later could not be accurate because of two medications prescribed by previous doctor. Said at the time of the first test that they would schedule the scratch test in a few months. I got to see my results online at myoschner. She never contacted me again except through her nurse and never followed up on the second test or anything. Just left me hanging.

My husband and I think she is wonderful. I was diagnosed with an allergy to my dog and copd at the same time. She helped me to understand that I could cope with. Her explanations were clear. and she spent a lot of time with me.
