Very Knowledgeable - Spends Time
I met with Dr. Sturla at his office to discuss my nutrition and concern that I was gaining weight and losing muscle mass. He spent a lot of time with me and designed a nutritional program for me. I also began customized IV nutritional therapy with him. I have more energy now and am slowly losing the weight with his help.

Terrible doctor
I saw this doctor for chest pain and showed him the EKG that i took on my apple watch. He dismissed me, saying that there was no way that i experienced chest pain or shortness of breath because my EKG was "normal." When i told him i felt i was having palpitations, he argued with me about what the technical definition of palpitations are. He was incredibly rude and was not helpful.

I just had my very first tele med experience through BCBS with this so called Dr. Sturla. He was suggesting I take something that makes me very ill. I've had a bone marrow transplant in the past for leukemia and do not tolerate certain drugs. When I asked him to give me what I could tolerate he literally just HUNG UP on me! Even though he could very well see how sick I was. This is NOT a compassionate human let alone healer/physician. BCBS should do themselves a favor and remove him from their list. Such a disappointment!

Telehealth appointment: He was rude from the very beginning, without greeting me with a hello or a how are you doing. When I explained that the medication and dosage he recommended wouldn't work (he wanted to give me a 3 day dose for a UTI...I would have had to call back because, knowing my body better than he does, it would take at least a 7 day dose to fix the issue), he told me that I was arguing with him and that he was ending the Telehealth visit. Boom, just like that! He would not listen to me and was very rude and argumentative when I tried to explain my prior experience with antibiotics. I have NEVER had such a negative experience with a doctor in my entire life. If you are looking for a caring, well mannered doctor that actually cares for your well being, this is not the doctor for you!

I had an online appointment which went fine I got a prescription of amoxicillin for a sinus / ear infection. After two days my symptoms were getting worse so I googled Dr. Sturla to call his office. To my surprise he answered his own phone and was very angry that I called him. I didn’t know you aren’t supposed to contact the doctors directly for online visits, and that no direct follow up was allowed. He was so rude he hung up on me and then refused to answer my request for a follow up online.
